Safety 1st introduces a luxury edition of the Safety 1st Complete Air LX Convertible Car Seat with the Complete Air SE. This Special Edition convertible car seat provides extra comfort to your precious passenger with use of premium plush fabrics. Like the Complete Air LX, this convertible car seat features cutting-edge technology in Side Impact Protection with Air Protect by releasing air from the car seat headrest, channeling crash impact away from your precious baby's head.

Safety 1st has engineered added safety features to put your mind at ease in the instance of a crash. The Complete Air SE is equipped with the revolutionary Air Protect Side Impact Technology. The soft cushions of the Air Protect surround your child's head and gently release air upon impact, cushioning the blow.
Installation: Install the Safety 1st Complete Air SE Convertible Car Seat using either your vehicle's seat belts or the car seat's LATCH connectors. The Complete Air SE can be installed in the rear-facing position from 5-40 lbs and 19"-40", and forward-facing from 22-50 lbs and 34"-45".

For a convertible car seat with higher rear-facing and forward-facing weight limits, check out the Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL. The Radian XTSL accommodates children rear-facing up to 45 lbs and forward-facing up to 80 lbs. This convertible car seat is so narrow you can fit three seats across in the backseat of most vehicles. Although the Radian XTSL does include side impact protection with the deep sidewings, it is not equipped with the revolutionary Air Protect Side Impact Technology featured in the Complete Air SE.
Britax makes a convertible car seat equipped with Side Impact air cushions, similar to the Safety 1st revolutionary Air Protect Side Impact Technology. The main difference in Side Impact Protection is that the Britax features protection on the exterior of the seat to protect not only the car seat passenger, but the passengers riding next to the seat as well, whereas the Safety 1st Side Impact Protection is inside the seat specifically for the car seat passenger. The Advocate CS accommodates infants rear-facing up to 35 lbs, and forward-facing up to 65 lbs, and features a no re-thread harness. However, the Advocate CS has a higher price tag than the Complete Air SE.
