Britax Child Safety International recently released a Consumer Advisory for the Britax Regent children's car seat. Britax continually tests its products for safety and performance improvements, and has determined that by adding certain components and following specific installation methods, the Regent car seat's performance will be greatly enhanced.

This is NOT a Recall, merely an advisory. This is a means to make your Britax Regent an even better youth car seat. It is perfectly safe to continue using your Regent until you receive your Product Update Kit.

These simple performance enhancements do not require you to return the Britax Regent to the manufacturer, and are not mandatory. You can make these enhancements yourself in just minutes. The free Product Update Kit will be sent to you free of charge.

Britax has made available this free Product Update Kit for anyone who has purchased and registered a:

  • Britax Regent youth car seat, sold between November 10, 2005 and June 18, 2007; Model number E9L39*

*You can determine whether your Britax Regent is included in this Advisory by checking the white label beneath the fabric cover on the lower right side of the seat.
