Safety Notification: Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30

Peg Perego is conducting a voluntary safety notification campaign for the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 Infant Car Seat. Peg Perego has taken this action because excess plastic may have created a sharp edge on Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 car seats manufactured between July 2007 and March 2008. No child has been seriously injured, though reports of cuts, scratches, and abrasions on the feet or legs of bare-footed infants have been received.

The ability of the car seat to protect your child in the event of a collision is not affected by this possible sharp edge of plastic.

If you registered your Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30 and it was manufactured between July 2007 and March 2008, a new adjuster cover has already been sent to you. If you did not register your car seat, Peg Perego will send a new adjuster cover free of charge to any customer who requests one by calling Peg Perego at 1-888-734-6030.

Continue to use your Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 30/30 Infant Car Seat. The recall does not impact the effectiveness of the car seat in the event of a collision.
