Our Review of the mountain buggy duo buggy
Hit the streets and have some fun with your little ones riding in mountain buggy built for two - the mountain buggy duo buggy. At 29" wide, the duo double stroller fits through standard doorways, and with added features like a water bottler holder, newborn accommodating harness, a deep recline, and flat fold, the mountain buggy duo makes strolling with baby super easy.
Standout Features:
- Super easy pushing. Push the duo with one finger - it's true, we tried!
- 29" wide - fits through standard doorways
- Water bottle holder
- Newborn-accommodating harness
- Near-flat recline
- Extra flat fold
- Quick release wheels
- Individual adjustable sun hoods
Benefits for You: From coffee shops to the mall to the trail, the 12" air-filled tires and front swivel wheels glide forward with ease. Push the mountain buggy duo with hardly any effort. The aluminum frame folds in two easy steps and collapses flat for compact storage.
Put your odds and ends in the generous underseat storage basket. The included water bottle holder keeps your refreshment close to hand.
Compatibility: With the purchase of the mountain buggy duo travel system, the duo accepts the following infant car seats.
- Evenflo Discovery
- Peg Perego Primo Viaggio
- Peg Perego Primo Viaggio SIP 30/30
- Graco SnugRide
- Graco SnugRide 32
Benefits for Baby: Reclining near-flat, the mountain buggy duo accommodates infants and post-lunch nappers alike. Individual adjustable sun hoods allow for custom shade and the flick-out sun hood adds extra protection.
Add the mountain buggy duo storm cover to block wind and rain. The mountain buggy duo sun cover keeps the brightest rays at bay.
Mountain Buggy follows global safety standards for an extra secure ride. Some features include:
- Locks that meet European and U.S. safety standards
- A 2-step fold that prevents the stroller from unexpectedly folding
- A 5-point harness that adjusts small enough for a newborn
Infants ride in comfort in style in either the mountain buggy duo single carrycot or the mountain buggy duo twin carrycot. The twin carrycot carries two babies at once while the single carrycot fits a single infant.
The duo has infinite carrycot and car seat combinations: use two single carrycots, one twin carrycot, a single carrycot and one seat, or an infant car seat and one seat.
Comparison: The duo is the perfect mountain buggy for parents of two. Also great is the phil&teds twin buggy. The phil&teds twin is roomier, has separate sun canopies, and folds more compactly. It does not have shocks, however.

mountain buggy duo buggy Reviews
We're On Our Fifth Mountain Buggy...
The 2010 Duo pushes like a dream. Even though it is large, the amazing maneuverability makes up for it. It fits through standard doorways just fine. In terms of the new improvements, we LOVE the separate sun canopies and the extra sun visors. One advantage to these is that it is now possible to "isolate" a sleeping child from a wide awake sibling. It is also convenient to have a bumper bar included.
Now, for the few minor issues I do have with the 2010: My biggest peeve is the new harness. I loved the simplicity of the previous models, which made it easy to add and remove seat inserts, footmuffs, etc. The current harness makes this a complicated process. Second, the hard backing behind the canvas seat has been changed. In my opinion, it is now a bit more difficult to rethread the harness heights, because there is less space for a hand to get in. (We still have a 2009 Swift, so I was able to compare the rethreading side by side.) Third, the foamy stuff on the handlebar cracked almost immediately after it was put to use. This has never been an issue with any of our other Mountain Buggies. These are all minor issues, and not significant enough for me to lower the review to four stars, but I did want to make note of them.
Overall, we love Mountain Buggy, and we hope Phil and Teds will continue to manufacture what we believe is the best stroller out there, despite recent corporate changes.
