Recall Notice: Maxi Cosi Mico
Dorel Juvenile Group, parent company of Maxi Cosi, is conducting a voluntary safety recall of the Maxi-Cosi Mico infant car seat base. This voluntary recall is in response to the Dorel Juvenile Group’s identification of a small number of units where the car seat does not properly attach to and detach from the base. It is important to note that no injuries have been reported.
Models affected by this recall:
Maxi Cosi Mico infant car seat bases manufactured before February 18, 2008 and with the following model numbers:
- 22-371 HFL
- 22-371 JUC
- 22-371 LMD
- 22-371 ORE
- 22-371 PNG
- Maxi-Cosi Mico Child Restraint System – Base only: 22-515 BLK
Your Next Steps
- Verify that your Maxi Cosi Mico was manufactured during the time period described above. There should be a label with the manufacture date and model number located on the bottom of the car seat or on top of the car seat base.
- If you submitted your warranty card, Maxi Cosi will automatically mail you a new car seat base.
- If you did not register your car seat, contact Dorel at http://www.djgusa.com/safety_notice/ or call 877-657-9546 to order a new base.
- While you wait for the new car seat base, continue to use your car seat. Ensure a secure connection of the carrier to the base by pulling up on the carrier once engaged with the base
