Based in the Netherlands, Bugaboo is an innovative design/manufacture firm that now specializes in making some of the most luxurious, sought after baby strollers in the world. While attending a school in design in 1994, Max Barenbrug developed the prototype of what is now the Bugaboo Frog Stroller as his final design project. With help from his brother-in-law, Eduard Zanen, Max revised the multi-function Frog stroller’s prototype design. After several frustrating years of marketing, Max’ persistence and adaptability paid off. Bugaboo baby strollers finally broke through and established itself. While relatively new to the United States, Bugaboo fast became the standard-bearer of the luxury stroller category.
