Worth it!

We heard about this stroller from a family member who travels alot and saw a couple with it in the aiport. It did not fit the seat of our Air Transat or EasyJet airplane flights but was very handy for our vacation to France. The stroller appeared at times to be a bit flimsy but it didn't fail in anyway during our 2 week vacation. It held up extremely well over cobblestone, curbs and rough terrain and worked well for taxis and trains. Conversion of the stroller to car seat was still easy with a 2 1/2 year old still in it. Very handy with a sleeping child! We would recommended this to anyone planning a trip with a child. We were not disappointed therefore it was well worth the money!

Perfect for expats

We work in Shanghai and don't own a car here - we get around in taxis. This product is perfect for us because we travel so much, and can't have a seat permanently installed in our own car. It is so nice not having to carry a carseat with us while we're traveling. We travel from Shanghai to Canada twice a year.
I find converting the seat into a stroller a little tricky, especially when we first got it. It's a little easier now.
It fits down the aisles of some planes, but not others.
We also have a regular stroller for walking around the neighborhood. This one is not great for bumpy areas or long distances, although it has worked fine for us for trips to Thailand and Beijing where the sidewalks are less than smooth.
The main pet peeve I have is that when our baby sleeps in the car, his head tips forward onto his chest. I don't know if this is normal for all car seats or not. I also wish mine had come with a sunshade...I see that the shade is now included with purchase.
I have had so many people at airports approach me to find out where I got it. I can push Finn in his Sit N Stroll with one hand, and roll my carry-on with the other. The airport security staff and flight attendants also think it's cool.
I think this is an excellent purchase for people who travel as much as we do and don't want to carry extra stuff.

No help when broken

After first trip to Hawaii with sitn'stroll, it dosn't convert to stroller anymore. So we try to call, email, mail everything we can to contact customer support (try to call 1800-829-1625, always on answering machine. they never return call either) but there's no way to get in touch with them. We are completely stock with broken heavy carseat.

Made life easier

My kids are 16 months apart. When my daughter was born my son was not walking. So when i saw this carseat i purchased it. We've had it about 6 months now, it's made our life so much less stressful. My daughter is pretty heavy and to have had to carry her in a carset would have been a nightmare. This stroller is perfect. It seems unstable but it's not. We are very hard on it and it's yet to break in anyway. We pull it off curbes etc. no problem. Sometimes it's tricky to collapse and set back up but it's still worth it. The price is good for the convenience as well. Mine doesn't have a rain guard though i wish it did. But I recommend this stroller to everyone who seems interested.

Good item - Bad Company
Reviewer: Peter ,

Poor customer Service. They sent me an opened - repackaged item (which is a big warning when purchasing Car Seats) and when i wanted to return the item for a new item in the original box they made me pay for shipping back and wouldnt replace my item. I reported to th Better Business Bureau. Customer reps were very rude. Wouldn't shop from them again.
Comments from The Staff:
I'm very sorry you feel that way. The only time we will repackage an item, is if we feel that the item could be damaged during shipping in it's original box. If we do repackage that item, we put a label on the box stating that the original box was not suitable for shipping, therefore we repackaged the item to protect it for you. We'd rather send you a protected, repackaged item than to send you a broken or damaged item.

Pretty Good

We just used the sit n stroll to go to HI. I read the reviews so I was prepared for some difficulty operating it and I didn't have too much trouble. My daughter is pretty small though - only 23 lbs. With a heavier child, I think it would be pretty difficult to open and close while the child is sitting in it. I was a little disappointed with the comfort factor. For that much money I would have liked it to be more padded. It's better than a cheap cosco car seat, but not as comfy as our regular Britax.
I also agree with some of the other reviews that stated it does not seem to install into cars correctly and securely. I was constantly worried that it was at the right angle rear-facing or that it wasn't tight enough. It also did not fit down the aisle of the 737 that we flew on - we had to take the baby out and carry the car seat, but overall it was still better than carrying a seperate stroller and car seat.

if you need one of every gadget...

If you're one of those parents that uses a different piece of baby gear for everything, you'll love this. I don't use many gadgets, but purchased this because our Marathons were too big to travel with. I've had it 6 months and used it on 3 cross-country (US) flights. The first time I found it very bulky, very heavy, and not that essential. It's too big to fit on the plane! The second time I managed to get a bit more use out of it, but the airline broke one of the handles off. That's when I got my education in airlines' Contracts of Carriage, all of them stating that they are not responsible for damage to baby gear. A replacement handle is only $15, but I have been trying for 4 months to get one from the company-- I'm about to give up. I just used it again, this time minus the right handle, and I really did find it useful. So I came on here to buy the carrying/storage bag. As a I was about to place my order, my husband came in and showed me it's new trick: The 3 bottom flaps that hold the wheels in are all loose and hang halfway open. I'm sick of this. Even if this idea is priceless, $200 should buy you a better product. I'm going to go back to checking our $40 Evenflo car seat and gate-checking our $10 umbrella stroller.

We were absolutely sold on this product from day one! We are both active duty USAF members who travel quite extensively; so, this product is the most efficient on the market. If this and internet shopping were available in the early 90's, we would have had one for all of our children! We do, however, have one for each of our last 3 of 5 (YES-five!) kids. We highly recommend this to families who travel at least annually. We never have to worry about checking a car seat or a stroller at the airport, and we always have a safe child for all modes of travelling. Some reviews complain of an "inconvenience" when having to take time to buckle/unbuckle the entire seat everytime they use a car/suv--basically, comparing it to the ease of other traveling systems where the car seat just clicks in/out while the base remains buckled. We've owned both kinds and find the other travel systems take more time & hands to separate the units then store the wheeled portion while this product is not only the most convenient and time-saving, but also the most cost-effective. Since Sit N' Strolls are safe for up to 40 lbs, it takes the place of three separate seats (1- rear-facing NB/Infants car seat; 2- front-facing Infant/Child car seat, & 3- booster/dining seat up to 40 lbs). Besides, is it really "inconvenient" to ensure the safety of our most precious cargo?
