my daughters pink

5
Reviewer: mommaof6kids , Coos Bay, Oregon Date: October 19, 2007
This seat is HUGE but it fits in my car (98 neon)without a hitch and my daughter calls it her pink she loves it she just turned 4 and i was not ready to put her in one of those flimsy boosters, i know that no matter what happens at least she will be as safe as she can be, this was expensive but well worth it you cant put a price on your childs safety when my 2 yo grows out of his marathon he is getting one of these also, i have 6 kids and have had alot of carseats over the last 20 yrs, this is by far the best next to my marathon i wish i had bought Britax for all my kids! Easiest seats to use installs in a matter of minutes. you cant go wrong with this one!!

The best toddler seat out there!

My four-year-old daughter outgrew her Britax Marathon and we moved her into a Graco high-back booster. What a mistake! She had WAY too much moblility and it made me a nervous wreck! So I ordered the Regent for her. WOW! She loves it, calls it her princess throne. She can sleep so much more comfortably on long drives, and I feel more at ease, knowing she is safer. It is a little tricky to install for children under 40 lbs. but the police officer had it in my Odyssey in 10 minutes!

Great Seat

Reviewer: Mark J , Weston, FL Date: October 13, 2007
The Britax Regent car seat is not for someone with a small car. It IS HUGE!!!! So if you are trying to put this in anything other than an SUV I have no idea how it will fit. That said my daughter loves it! It's very comfortable and I get no complaints about her getting in. She used to struggle with her old car seat. Now she just climbs in. The five point safety is what I was seeking and now she will be safe for a long time.

regent review

Reviewer: Anonymous , cumming, ga Date: October 10, 2007
I like the idea that my son will be safe in the car seat for a longer time than i expected with the five point harness.

however, he still falls asleep in the car and the Regent does not have a recline feature like the Britax Marathon does and his neck is strained when he is sleeping. i'm considering returning it to get another Marathon or something else thats more comfortable for naps. if your child still sleeps in the car, dont get this just yet. wait until they are out of the nap zone becuase its a wonderful car seat and my son is three feet tall, on the second notch and has about three more notches to go in the regent , so he'll be in it a long time.

The best 5 pt harness out there

I just purchased this seat to replace my son's Marathon, which he had been using for 4 years. He is 4 1/2, 44.5 inches and 53 lbs and was outgrowing the Marathon. I loved the Marathon so much, that I knew we'd get another great car seat in the Regent. Yes, it IS big, but it fits fine in my 2005 Town & Country (in 2nd row captains seat, with arms up and headrest removed.) We also tested it in our 2006 F-350 truck and it fits in the middle of the back seat (we couldn't remove the headrests from the side seats.) I forgot to check and see if we'd need a seatbelt extender, however. The seat is also expensive, but I figure we will get another 4-5 years out of it, making it well worth the cost. Installation was easy (we had to use seatbelt and top tether due to son's size), although I had to read the manual several times (the pictures aren't very helpful, in my opinion.) I got the Sahara pattern and it's beautiful. The side pockets on the car seat are nice, but I wonder if they will hold up over time. The elastic straps that supposedly hold the belts don't seem to work well -- I wonder why they didn't use the same velcro that the Marathon uses? My son is enjoying his new "big boy" seat, and I am loving the fact that he is strapped in until I am ready to get him out of the car. While I do realize that ALL car seats have to pass the same safety tests, I feel that my son is safer in a 5 pt harness than in a belt positioning booster (he moves around too much and likes to put his arms under the shoulder belt.) I also had my son sit in the Sunshine Kids Radian seat, and it was just too small for him, although I do think it's a great option for cars that won't accommodate the Regent. I highly recommend the Regent if it will fit in your car!

madison britax regent car seat

Reviewer: Anonymous , Stuart, florida Date: October 04, 2007
I searched for many months before finally deciding to by the Regent. I am thrilled with it. When I was shopping, there really was only about 3 choices of car seats for kids over 40lbs that kept them harnessed. I am soooo glad that I picked the Regent. I have told everyone about and how nice it is. It fits great in my Seqioua. So tight, you would have thought it was part of the seat. Pick the Regent and you will not be disappointed.

Big seat for my big boy

Reviewer: Robert Smith , Dallas, TX Date: October 02, 2007
Sure it's a big seat, but it fits into my wife's 1999 Toyota Camry just fine. It's the only car seat that has a 5 point harness that can hold up to 80 pounds. That should be enough of a selling point, but it gets even better. The latch system is a breeze. I am a police officer and I've seen so many seat installed improperly. The Britax latch system is almost foolproof. Buy it and see. The customer service is great too. If it doesn't work for you, you can always return it. Easy and safe. I would never trust my son's life to anything less.

So far, so good

Reviewer: Anonymous , Scottsdale, AZ Date: October 02, 2007
So far so good. My husband indicated that this was the easiest seat to install out of all of our car seats. (Evenflow Triumph and Graco Snug Ride) I haven't experienced any twisting on the straps. There are two things I miss from the Triumph (which we still use in another car): 1) the knob to tighten the straps and 2) how high it positions my son. However, the tradeoff is worth it. We are happy so far.
