Infiniti Q7-doesn't fit

We really wanted this car seat to work but it's just too big for our car. Just wanted to let other Infiniti Q7 owners know if they were wondering if the car seat will fit.
Comments from The Staff:
Hello there,
I'm sorry to hear that the Regent didn't work for your vehicle. It is as I'm sure you read a very large seat and won't work for everyone. I hope that you find one to suit your needs.
I did want to reply and encourage you to submit your experience of incompatibility on a great website that I personally utilize often - CarSeatData.org. This is the only resource out there that has a database of car seat and vehicle fit information. I'm sure your feedback would be greatly appreciated and I'm sure would help others when shopping for a car seat. You can enter the information using their online form here.
Thank you again for your feedback and I hope you find something to work. Don't be afraid to contact us with any further questions.
Thank you,
Kelly

Britax Regent Toddler Car Seat

I love this car seat. It is very easy to install. The harness can be quickly and easily adjusted making it very comfortable for my passenger. She is also tickled pink with the pink pattern (the Madison cover)! She also enjoys the convenience of the side pockets to store her things within reach. I would recommend this toddler seat without reservation.

This is our favorite seat!

I recently purchased this seat in Onyx for my five year old son. We have a Sienna and it fits just fine. Prior to the Regent, he was riding in his Wizard. The Regent is much wider, and he LOVES the mesh pockets on the sides that can hold his drinks or other favorite stuff. His sister is 3 and she's still in the Wizard, but I will definitely be purchasing the Regent in Madison for her from this website very soon! You will be very happy with this seat! I can't stress enough how important it is to have a child in a 5 point harness.

LOVE BRITAX!

Britax offers the BEST safety for your child. Yes it is huge but so was our Marathon we have. My youngest is now in that one and my 3 1/2 year old is in this Regent. He loves it and looks so small in it. Lots of room to grow. I feel safe he is in a harness for some time to come. If you are worried about not having the side impact as we were, we just determined our van had the side impact protection so I would feel more secure with him in the harness and not the adult seatbelt.

We have twin 4yo boys they both have very long torsos. These seats are GREAT! A little $$$$ even more so x2! But worth every penny. I have a Volvo XC90 (volvo suv) and the seats do ok just because I'm short. If I had to put my seat back more it would be on there legs. My Hubby has a Dodge Grand Caravan no problems there. So keep your vehix in mind before you buy and you will forsure be happy with your purchase. We love our boys and there awesome seats.

Awesome seat!!

Our 1st son, who is now 2 1/2 year old, was using the Britax Roundabout. Now that our 2nd child just turned 1 and outgrew his infant seat, we moved him into big brother's Roundabout and upgraded our oldest son to the Regent. It is a very nice seat! He is comfortable and it fits perfectly in our Dodge Caravan . . . like a GLOVE. I feel that both of our children are safe in the Britax brand. They rate high in our book! We have never had a problem. They clean up nice too. The Regent is a bit on the heavy side, but we don't move our seat around to other vehicles, like some people might do, so for us, the weight isn't an issue. Once our 2nd son outgrows the Roundabout, we will probably get another Regent for him. Great product!!

Great carseat!

My 26 month old was about ready to outgrow her Britax Marathon (she is tall like her 6'8 dad), and there was NO way I was going to put her anything but another 5-pt. harness. I did a lot of searching around, and I am so glad I found the Britax Regent. It is a LARGE carseat, but it fits fine in my '08 Town and Country. My daughter LOVES it (we have the Madison print). I love the fact that she has more room, and that she is so safe! I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if we had more kids!
elitecarseats.com also offered free shipping, unlike most other stores, and it arrived fast with no problems. I also liked their added insurance incase you get the carseat and it won't fit or isn't what you want. You can return it to them for super cheap! I highly recommend buying from this site! :)

Great seat but huge

Britax seats are the best. This is my 4th britax. I purchased this one to replace a Marathon. It is huge but it is only a couple of inches taller than the marathon although the top is condiserably wider. I had planned to put it in the 3rd row of my Expedition but it fit better into the 2nd row captains chair. Its fit to vehicle is much better than the Marathon and since there is no base, it is easier for my daughter to climb up. The instructions appear complicated but if you read to determine which installation configuration you need, they are not that bad. My only other complaint is the fasteners that hold the seat cover on - they are a bit difficult to fasten. All in all, my daughter loves the seat and I feel good knowing that she's still in a 5 point harness.

Great Seat if it Fits in Your Vehicle - see note about top tether!

Our 1 year old was outgrowing her infant seat and needed to move into the Marathon that her sister was in so we bought the Regent for our three and a half year old. We knew it was big; however, we wanted it anyway for maximum safety and we wanted to buy one final seat that would last until she outgrew a seat. We wanted her to remain in a car seat with a five point harness; not a booster seat. After we bought the seat, we learned (through Honda) that the top tether in ALL Hondas (we have a CRV - small SUV) only holds up to 40 lbs; however, Britax (we called them, too) REQUIRES the top tether for proper installation of this seat once the child is 50 lbs. This means, we could have installed the seat with seatbelt only until our child reached 50 pounds and then we'd have to buy a new seat or a new car (not going to happen). As a result, we returned the seat (by the way, Elite was great about expediting our refund and DO buy the return shipping insurance!). The seat was just as large as the prior reviews say; however, we would have kept it if we owned a large SUV that could accomadate the installation requirements. By the way, we always get our seats installed by a certified carseat specialist and she did say these Regent seats are a real bear to install. She's also the one who gave us the info about the top tether and had us call Honda and Britax to confirm ourselves. I appreciated having this extra, necessary information and I'm sorry that not everyone learns what we did. I guess many people are just using the seatbelt to install it even for kids over 40lbs but I hope more people learn the correct installation procedures like we did. Call Britax and your car dealership for yourself! About the Madison color: we thought it was a fun pink and yellow; however, it is really more of a "rust" color (not pink) and we didn't care for that at all. Go to Britax.com for a more accurate photo of the Madison print colors.
We researched at length for another seat option that met our requirements: carseat (not booster) until 80lbs, side impact protection, five-point harness, and installation not requiring the top tether. We found the Radian 80 by Sunshine Kids which has a steal L bracket in it and we're quite happen with it. It's much more slim in width (but may be longer in depth which is comfortable for child); however, has all the features we wanted. Now, we would highly recommend the Radian 80 as well.
