Reviews for Britax Boulevard convertible car seat
Love it

I have had mine for about a year and a half. It is a great seat. I have a Mazda Tribute and it fits in there but is a little cramped with 2 regular size adults but manageable. The latch on it jammed after I had it about 4 months but Britax shipped me a new one free of charge in just a few days and nothing else has gone wrong since. My son is 2 1/2 now and about 31 lbs and it still fiits him just fine. The LATCH system is easy to use and I can switch it from car to car in less than 3 min. It is a bit bulky but worth it to keep my son safe.

SAVED MY BABY'S LIFE!!!

My daughter, mother-in-law and I were in an accident about a month ago. I was in the passenger seat, my daughter in her boulevard behind me, mother in law driving. A drunk driving sped through the intersection and we were hit on the passenger side. It was horrible, 2 of the bones in my leg were broken, needing surgery, and my shoulder also dislocated and wrist broken. I also received a horrible concussion. My mother in law broke her collar bone... My daughter didnt have a scrath on her. She was scared of course but completely fine. Her little 19 month old body was protected so well she didnt even have a bruise. The paramedic told my husband that these were the type of accidents that kill children. This seat saved my daughter, and I am so thankful to britax for making such an amazing seat. I hope that you will never have to truly see how amazing they are. You will not regret buying this. We have already bought our replacement seat.

Great Seat!

After researching various seats, we decided on this one. It's got many safety features that are important to us and it's washable and durable. I have not yet washed it but the covers are easily removable which is another reason I bought this over other seats. The headrest provides safety from side impact to protect her little head during a crash. Prior to reading the specs I had not even considered that as an option until I started researching features offered. It also provides a nice head rest for when she is sleeping. My daughter sleeps very well in this car seat also. The seat is every bit worth what we paid for it. I have peace of mind that it will protect our little one should we have an accident. Elite Car Seats had the best price and delivery. They use FEDEX and I always have fast/great delivery with them so that's another reason I bought from Elite Car Seats. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

UPDATE

We purchased the Britax Boulevard after much research. We liked that the harness would hold a child up to 47" and 65lbs. Our daughter has LONG legs but is rather short in height and on the low end of the weight spectrum. We thought we were set for quite awhile --- WRONG! She's now 42" tall and about 33 lbs, but she no longer fits in the Britax Boulevard because the crotch strap is too short. We've had this car seat for about 3 1/2 years, so we've gotten our money out of it. It worked excellent as a rear facing car seat, but didn't fit as well as a forward facing car seat. Overall, it's been a good purchase and you have to think of your child. I recommend researching the torso height requirements on the harness as well as the crotch depth and comparing it to your child's size when making a decision. I honestly don't know how you can avoid buying multiple car seats as your child grows. In my experience with car seats, we've had the infant which has lasted between 4 - 7 months for our kiddos, the convertible car seats which have lasted about 2 1/2 years - 3 1/2 years (the Britax Boulevard and Marathon lasted the longes, the Evenflo triumph the shortest). Also of note, don't necessarily plan on moving the younger one up to the older one's seat and moving the older into a new seat -- each of my children fit car seats differently at different ages/stages and NONE of mine are the same size!

Love the Boulevard!

I wrote a review when we first purchased the Boulevard, but after owning it for a year I thought it deserved another.
First of all, it still looks like new. I have had to take it apart to wash it more than once and it does great in my washing machine on gentle cycle and hanging it to dry. It was not too much trouble to get apart and reassemble. It has taken spills and lots of snacks and held up great. We have the Shannon fabric.
It is such a tight fit in our SUV. You cannot budge this carseat when it is installed correctly. For those that said they did not have top tether points remember that the carseat comes with that extra buckle for you to knot around a bolted part of the seat in the floor.
My daughter is very comfortable in this carseat and though the head wings are for safety they are also so great for naps on long trips. Her head does not slump over.
I am able to get the straps very snug on her body and they do not get all twisty which is nice. We purchased this carseat when she turned 1 and it was a great fit then and now. We kept her rear-facing until she was 19 months.
Things to note: This carseat is heavy, but we only remove it to wash it so that isn't a problem for us. It is also big, but I can fit three of them side by side in my Tahoe. You will not hear an audible click of the buckle between the legs until BOTH sides are in correctly.
We love this car seat. We are purchasing the Companion for our new son and will get him a Boulevard when he is too big to be carried in an infant seat.

Love it!!

We bought this seat when my daughter outgrew her Peg Perego infant seat. We love this seat!! It was extremely easy to install in both of our cars. I was worried about having the seats reclined at the proper angle, but on each seat there is a line that must be level when seat is rear facing. This reassured me that my daughter is also reclined far enough. Elite car seats is such a pleasure to do business with. I had found this seat on another website for a cheaper price. Elite carseats matched this price and shipped the seats the same day. I got them both three days after ordering. All in all, I could not be any happier with the Britax seats or my experience with Elite carseats.

Love it - Ordering another

We ordered one of these first to be sure it fit in our 1999 plymouth voyager minivan and that our sone liked it. My husband installed it and it is very snug in the car. My son seems to like it, I tried out our almost three year old in it and he seemed to like it so we are ordering one for him as well. We currently have the Britax Marathons from 2005 and we love those as well. But, we love the side impact protection and it really helps us feel we are doing everything we can to keep our boys safe.

not making it to 65lbs

This is a great seat in many ways- the straps are such an improvement from our last car seat- they don't get twisted and I like that they velcro out of the way (sort of) when you put your child into the seat. I really like the head "wings." Not only for side impact protection but they support the head when the child falls asleep in the car. My son can see around them fine. As for the fit, it is great for my 15month old. He's 80-90th percentile for height and weight which seems to be okay- still lots of room to grow. We would have liked to keep him rear facing to the seat's limit of 33 lbs however, his legs are too long and get really scrunched rear facing now so we had to turn him around foreward facing. My only disappointment is that I'm thinking it's not going to work to 65lbs because my 5year old who's about 46" tall and weights about 47lbs does not fit into this seat. He's well under the maximum height and weight for the seat but it's not even close.

Great Seat, But Not EXACTLY What We Expected
Reviewer: Anonymous , Renton, WA

I love the Britax line of car seats. For my baby shower, a wonderful friend purchased the Britax Marathon with the Cowmooflage seatcover from elitecarseats.com. My husband and I (and now my 19 month-old daughter) love the seat and it's cover. It' so soft and comfy. Plus it has nifty storage compartments for the latch system (if it's not in use).
So, when it was time to "pay-it-forward" and buy a Britax car seat for my dear friend, I thought of this website. I purchased a Boulevard convertible car seat with the Park Avenue cover. She and her husband had seen the same car seat at a certain big name baby store for much more money. I found it at Elite's site for far less. It was ordered on a Wednesday and arrived the following Monday (less than a week's time). I was thrilled with the delivery time, as was the recipient. However the cover, although sharing the same name (Park Avenue) was very different than what's available in the store. It has muted pink colors instead of deep purple. Perhaps it's an older model or a factory defect. Regardless, the price and the overall quality of the car seat outweighs the slight color change of the seat cover. It's still the best buy around!
