I recently bought this for my 7 month old- she is a little taller than average and outgrew her infant seat early. I really like the cover and it was very easy to install. She seems to like it and sleeps every time we go somewhere. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is not very well padded in the seat bottom. Most seats are not, but for the price I expected a little more cushion. They could add a few more accesories as well (more recline positions, cup holder, place for toy attachment...). Overall, I am happy with it.

We love the Marathon. We have purchased 5 in the last two years. It is easy to install, easy to take apart and wash. It washes beautifully and dries quickly. Super easy to adjust, reverse and put back for different sized children. Definitely well worth the extra cost for safety, convenience and style! Elite Carseats has super fast shipping, excellent customer service.

Britax Marathon - I love it!

I liked this car seat so much that I bought a second one to use in another car. It's so comfy! I feel like my daughter is very safe in her car seat and let's just admit that they are very CUTE seats as well! I love fashion and these seats are by far the most fashionable! The only thing I can say that would be considered a negative is that the seat doesn't recline very far.

Thanks for the review! The intent of a recline on a convertible car seat, is so that when installed rear facing, it can be adjusted so that the baby is at a 45 degree angle, to ensure proper breathing. When you flip the seat around forward facing, that seat should be in it's most upright position. Your child will still be at a natural recline, and if they are properly harnesses, they should not slump forward if they fall asleep. Some seats offer a very slight recline, for forward facing mode - but forward facing seats are intended to be installed in their most upright position.

Britax all the way for my Trio

I have BBG triplets and their saftey was of utmost importance to us. We knew we wanted the Britax Marathon because of its wonderful saftey rating but just weren't sure how we could afford them. Well then we found Elite. They were so helpful. We were able to get the best deal ever on these carseats. We love the patterns too. The boys have the All Star and my princess has the Floral print. We couldn't be happier with the seats or with Elite's service. I would recommend them to anyone.

A+ Service and Product

I put the service before the product because this online company just surprised me by exceeding my expectations! That doesn't happen often. I am the "online buying queen" and spent at least 4 hours online researching car seats before purchasing from Elite. This is my 4th Britax car seat and 6th or 7th total car seat I have purchased in the last 11 years. I love and highly recommend Britax. They are durable, safe, easy to use and install, and attractive. I chose Marathon because I have large children and didn't think it was necessary to pay for all the extra padding inserts when I would be removing them quickly. I love the new All-Star Blue for a baby boy (it's about time they start thinking about cuter prints for boys). Elite was a very easy wesite to navigate, and an easy ordering process! I had my product in perfect condition in 5 days from date of purchase! Not only was I satisfied with that, but when I found out the car seat went on sale since my purchase last week I asked them to honor the price reduction and they responded within 10 minutes to let me know they would! How's that for customer service. I have never raved this much about an online company ever! Give them your business! You can't go wrong!

If you've done any research on the Britax Marathon, then you have probably found very little negatives about the seat. I bought this seat for my petite almost 4 year old to replace a Graco ComfortSport that she outgrew by height and she is only in the 25th percentile for height and weight.
I have used this seat for almost 2 weeks trying to find something wrong, but it's been hard. My only complaint is that the straps twist more than my son's Decathlon when my daughter gets in the Marathon. Just like other Britax models, this seat is a cinch to install (both with Latch or seat belt) and there are no complaints about not being comfortable (which makes car rides much nicer).
But this review is not just about the seat, but also about EliteCarSeat's customer service. They have been fabulous! From calling to inquire about the Marathon to purchasing the seat to having the seat replaced due to shipping damage, ECS has been exceptional! In an age where some companies don't care about customer service, the politeness, attentivenss, and overall caring was unexpected, but greatly appreciated. If you do plan on purchasing any car seat, this is the place to buy it from! Happy shopping!

Just wanted to say that I highly recommend the Britax marathon. We received our blue all-star Britax Marathon and we just love it!!!! All my friends have one too and can't say enough great things about this car seat! Our son is so comfy in it and that makes me happy!

Learned my lesson the first time

The Britax line of car seats is worth every penny. I started with an Evenflo for my first child (I had a friend buy a Britax at the same time and thought she was nuts...but 3 kids later it's still working great for her) - the Evenflo was difficult to install, and ended up breaking....3 car seats later, my first child is in a Britax booster that she totally loves and will last her for years. I just bought a Marathon and a Boulevard for my second child - if I add up the money I spent on replacing seat after seat with my first child, I'm actually saving money this time. The seat is total quality, top to bottom - WORTH THE INVESTMENT! Don't be tempted by the price of other seats - you will be frustrated installing them, the buckles will twist, and they're just not as safe. The safest, easiest to use, most durable brand I've found.
