Best seat ever!

I bought this car seat for my 6 month old son, who has already grown out of his infant car seat. He loves it and so do I. It was very easy to install. I have never had a seat fit so snugly. I can't move it at all. Previous car seats that I used on my daughter would come loose after a few weeks, but not the britax marathon. I would recommend this car seat to anyone. It may be more expensive but worth it in the long run. Plus, you can't put a price on safety when it comes to your kids!

Fantastic Seat!

I've owned some clunky car seats in the past. I wanted something easier to deal with when the twins outgrew their infant seats 3 years ago.
The Marathon is a breeze to install (seat belt or LATCH) in every vehicle we have tried. In fact, every seat should have this style LATCH clip and the built-in lock-offs. Getting the seat installed rear-facing wasn't that hard either. The harness is a breeze to adjust each and every ride. I know my children are in the car as safely as they can be.
The added height and weight limits make this seat well worth the price. No need to rush into the next step up in the car seat chain. Extending the rear-facing phase for as long as you can and then harness well over 40lbs are the safest ways to ride.
The covers have held up well. And we don't find the plush fabrics to get too warm in the summer months either. The children love that they don't have the same cover. They may be twins but they don't want to match lol!

Britax Marathon is Wonderful!

The Britax Marathon is wonderful! I am so glad I purchased it when I did! My little girl was 6 months old when I got it and she was so much more comfortable in it rather than her carrier car seat! It is so cute, too...we got the cowmouflage! I also love how secure the seat straps in. I feel really safe with her in this seat. I can't wait to turn her around!

Britax - FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

We purchased a Britax Decathlon for our daughter two years ago. Last summer, the harness adjuster seperated from the carseat. We sent the seat back to Britax and they fixed it without charge (even though we were a few days out of the 1-year warranty period).
We subsequently purchased a Marathon for our second child. Having had both, the Marathon superior to the Decathlon - it is just easier to use. Specifically, the harness adjustment mechanism on the Marathon is much easier to use than the one on the Decathlon.
If you are debating between the two seats and, like us, are drawn to the Decathlon for the extra padding, buy the Marathon and purchase a separate insert (we bought a Body Support from JJ Cole).
Here is is, summer one year later, and darned if we didn't have the same problem with the Decathlon. I called Britax, and without hesitation the customer representative offered to replace the defective seat with a new one - of any model. Needless to say, we went with a Marathon.
Britax provides a superior product with outstanding customer support. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great Car Seat!

I have had a few car seats and the Britax Marathon is by far superior to any others i've tried. My son sleeps more comfortably and his head does not fall forward like it did in his last seat. The padding is just right and the seat is great for long car rides. In addition, Elite Car Seats is a top notch company-excellent customer service!!

Most comfortable for my twins

When my twins were 9 months old, they were already too big for their infant seats. I had purchased Marathons for my husband's car a few months ago, and my twins were so comfortable, I replaced the infant seats in my car with Marathons. Yes, you got it right, I bought 4 Marathon seats in 2 months, and we use them rear-facing.. why? because they were easy to install, have soft comfortable covers, and comfortable padding. Hopefully we'll be able to use these until they start kindergarten

Marathon by Britax

This is a great carseat. This is my second purchase...as my 3 year old is still in this carseat (30 pounds). I now have my 7 month old in this carseat facing reverse. (20 pounds). Both of them are the cowmouflage pattern. It is great for a girl or boy and hides dirt well.

Great Product

Wanted the safest and best car seat for our daughter and we found it. She enjoys car rides now and we enjoyed the ease of installation and comfort in knowing how safe these seats are. Really great investment.
