Well worth the money!

We just purchased the Britax Marathon for our 6 1/2 month old daughter, and we love it already. She is so much more comfortable in it than her infant seat, and we are amazed by how secure she is in it. It is a bit big for my back seat ('03 nissan xterra), but I don't care as long as my munchkin is safe. She is happy, we are happy, and I can't say enough good things about this seat! Even the literature that comes with it is outstanding. (Oh, and we were very impressed with elitecarseats.com - excellent service, and incredibly fast shipping!)

Great Car Seat!!

My husband and I spent many hours checking out car seats and this one, by far is the best. Yes, it's a lot of money but it's worth every penny, when you check out all the safety features and the large weight limit (65 lbs.). The other car seats on the market just doesn't compare to this one. One minor complaint: the floating hugs do get in the way a bit, my daughter is 6months old and I think for smaller babies this feature is really not needed. As a matter of fact in the manual, it allows you to take them off for rear facing infants. My daughter is very comfortable in her big seat and I'm also comfortable knowing this seat is safe and secure. Another note: I have read many reviews from other parents stating that this seat doesn't fit properly in their car, I have a Toyota Corolla 2003 and it fits perfectly, either in the middle or behind the passenger seat, (it's a bit snug behind the drivers seat). Yes. It is a bit big in the backseat, but their is plenty enough room for two older children and the car seat. Also, elite car seat is great.. This is the cheapest place to order this seat, and with free shipping it took exactly 7days, not bad at all.. Britax is great and so is Elite!

My 4 year old son had just reached the 40 pound maximum weight limit for his toddler car seat, and after looking at the booster seats that are available, I felt that the booster seats available were not going to give us the safety and comfort level that we had felt with his toodler seat. After researching for many hours, we purchased the Marathon. We are very pleased with the seat. It fits wonderfully in the middle rear seat of our Venture van. The only complaint that I have is that it does take a little longer to put my son in the seat as he is bundled in his winter coat, and it takes an extra few minutes to get the straps situated over his coat without the coat bunching up. But compared to the safety of my son, what are a few minutes?!! Well worth the extra time!! I would recommend this seat to anyone----definitely worth the money.

very well worth the money

i am very pleased with the car seat my daughter seems to be very comfortable in it. there is only one problem with it i have a full size 2002 bonnevile car and it wouldn't go in the middle of the back seat so i had to put it on the side with it rear facing whoever sits in the passenger front seat it on top litterally on the dash not to comfortable for them. with the incline and had it at a safety check until she is one no one will ride in the car in front. the seat itself is wonderful. i have a 7 year old and the seats we used for him were great but not as comfortable as this one. i love that my daughter can also be in a 5 point harness until she is 65 pounds also. i am very pleased with the seat we bought 2 one for my husbands truck too. the latch system is hard to un hook and hook over and over he doesn't have the latch so we use the seat belt and both ways are fine to install the seat. thanks for a great car seat lisa

The only few purchases that I never regret...

I always watch where my money goes and ensure that it was well-spent on something, and marathon is something I still proud of as I made the right decision for my son when he was 5 months old. We did every possible research and it paid off. My son, 13 months old still love it and I wish I can sleep like him in it as it's so comfty and soft. We are not going to get anything lessser for the second one coming. Plus Elite service are superb. They are patient in explaning everything to you.

I would never buy anything but a britax

As a police officer I have witnessed an above average number of vehicle accidents, a lot with injuries. After witnessing a fatal, involving an infant, I researched carseats for two weeks trying to find the best available for my 6 month old son. It was hands down Britax, I could not put a price on his safety. It is the only carseat on the market with the EPS foam and the rear facing versa tether. Recently he outgrew his roundabouts that I had purchased in 2001. I purchased three more MARATHON'S for our vehicles. The seat is a breeze to install in our 2003 venture, 1997 gmc 1500 and our sitters 2000 gmc jimmy. It is a large seat, quite a bit larger than the roundabout. I am not real crazy about the velor-type material as I am worried about wear n tear and cleaning. With the roundabout we had the denim (100% cotton) and were used to just throwing it in the wash & dryer on delicate. When you get the seat, the latch system will be set up for a rear facing child seat, so if you have purchased it for an older child who is forward facing you have to switch the latches to the opposite sides (otherwise it WILL NOT LATCH). It's a wonderful seat, well worth the money in the long run. I would/will NEVER buy anything else.

I recently bought this car seat and I absolutety love it, super comfertable, stylish, and most important super safe. very convienient built in latch. kinda spendy but well worth the money.

I purchased the Marathon about a year ago for my son. A couple months later I purchased a second car seat (another brand) to try and save money, what a mistake!!! I saved a $100 dollars, but it wasn't worth it. The Britax Marathon has more padding for comfort and the straps are great. The other car seat the straps get all tangled up all the time, but the Marathon doesn't and you can put your child in and out with ease. The high ratings in crash safety is also a big plus, it gives me that extra peace of mind if we get in a car accident.
This is one product that I can honestly say it's worth the extra money, and you really do get what you pay for!!!!

CADILLAC OF ALL CARSEATS!!!

My son just recently grew out of his Peg Perego Primo Viaggio, paid $200 for it and I cant beleive I was only able to use it for such a short time. I researched the Britax Marathon from this website and I was sold right away. It's pretty pricey, but I would NEVER put a price on his safety anyways so the next day my husband and I headed to Babies R us paid $250+ tax and I got the new 2004 fabric alled
