This is the BEST carseat on the market

We just purchased our second Marathon carseat (one for each vehicle) because it is the roomiest and most comfortable. Yes it does take up a lot of room in the back of my Honda Accord but my childs safety comes first. Easy to install and change the strap position. As for buying it from this website, no shipping fee and the back order only took a few weeks.

Great Seat!!

We recently purchased the Marathon for our 7 month old. She was too tall for her infant carrier so we moved her to the Marathon. The seat is very easy to install with both a seat belt and the latch system. It has the added tether restraints for rear-facing and forward facing as well. Overall, the seat is easy to install, easy to use, and seems comfortable for our baby. She made an easy transition to it. The only drawbacks are that it's a big seat (although not much bigger than most other convertable seats) and the straps don't tighten really well on a slender baby.

Highly Satisfied with Marathon

I purchased the Marathon because I trusted Britax to be a very safe seat and the Marathon had such a wide weight range that I knew we would be using this seat for a long time. I am very happy with the seat...It is easy to install (we are still rear facing) and with the LATCH system, it is a cinch! It is a bit large and heavy - it fits fine in our Outback but is a bit of a pain when we want to move it to another car or take it on an airplane. The harness snap is also somewhat frusterating becase it is difficult to hear if has snapped into a locked position, so I have to double and tripple check that the it is indeed locked. My daughter finds it very comfortable and well padded, and I love the simplicity of the storm grey color we purchased. All in all, I am very happy with the ease of the seat and my confidence in its safety.

Best carseat on the market

I personally own a Britax Roundabout for my 1 1/2 year old daughter and love the product so much that when I decided to purchase a gift for my niece, who was having her first baby, I thought the best type of gift to give her is the gift of peace of mind and safety. So I decided to go with the Britax Marathon since the weight range was greater then the Roundabout. Well, all I have to say is I want to purchase a Marathon for my own baby now. It is so roomy and plush and the latch system is so easy to use. It is so well worth the extra $s. Britax definitely makes the best car seats on the market... As for elitecarseat.com... They were so great.... Fast, friendly service. I ordered this car seat through another website and waited 2-1/2 months before I cancelled the order (the seat is still on backorder). I decided to go to elitecarseat.com and the order shipped that day and only took 5 days to get to my niece. The price compared to other websites can't be beat plus free shipping.... Well worth it....

The Marathon seat is an excellent seat that I would recommend. The only issue I have is the adjustment of the seat harness. It is not always easy to readjust everytime you put your child into the seat. The teather strap tightener on the harness has twisted a few times.

Road Trip Very Comfortable Thanks to Marathon...

Our daughter was almost too big for her infant carrier (turns 7 months next week). She could probably have gone a couple more weeks, but we had a long road trip last weekend and decided to go ahead and get the marathon. The trip was 7 hours each way and her first time in the new seat...she had no complaints. It is very soft and plush and easy to install and get her in and out of. It does not move once installed and seems very safe. I researched all of the carseats and decided on Britax. I narrowed it down to the marathon and the advantage. I finally went with the marathon because she will be able to use it for as long as she needs a carseat and it is slightly cheaper.

My 3 year old son has been in a Britax Roundabout since he was an infant and we have loved that seat. When it came time to give his seat to the new baby we decided to venture away from Britax and try a new seat that had just come out - the Airway. It was cheaper than the Marathon and could be used up to a higher weight limit. We ordered it online and were very disappointed with it when it arrived. It seemed to be made of cheap plastic and didn't seem near as safe as the Britax seats. So we sent it back and bit the bullet to pay extra for the Marathon. We are so glad that we did. We love the Marathon as much as we loved the Roundabout. My son is tall for his age but he will fit well in the Marathon for quite a while. The seat is very comfortable for him and he is able to still sleep in the car without his head bobbing around. The buckling clip is a little different than the Roundabout's but it didn't take long to get used to it. I definitely recommend the Marathon. It is more pricey than other seats but I feel that my peace of mind is worth it. We live in a county with a very high rate of auto accidents and I feel that my boys are as safe as possible in their Britax seats.

Worthwhile Investment

We bought the Marathon for our 7-month-old. It was backordered but it came in less than two weeks and we found it to be sturdy, plush, and easy to install. It put our three-and-a-half-year-old's car seat to shame so we bought another Marathon right away for her (she still has 35 pounds before she outgrows it). She was thrilled to get a car seat just like her brothers and thinks it is

My daughter loves her car seat!

My 27 month old daughter is so petite. She is only 20 lbs and has finally outgrew her rear-facing infant seat. After many months of researching, we decided to purchase the Marathon which is a little bigger than the Roundabout. At first, we thought it might be too big for our petite daughter, but we were wrong. The ease of adjusting the straps were such a breeze. Our daughter fits the seat perfectly. My husband installed the seat in the rear-facing position in our Acura TL. Our daughter's legs can still move freely and it doesn't bother her at all. Most importantly, the seat is so well padded that our daughter falls asleep without crying unlike the infant seat we had before. This was a great investment for the safety and comfort of our petite daughter!
