I am a Labor and Delivery Nurse and a first time mother...not knowing anything about carseats, I did some research after buying our first 3-in-1 carseat. The one we purchased was difficult to install, the straps twisted and adjusting the straps as he got bigger was awful, it also had a piece together (puzzle like) connector that took days to feel confident with. In fact we had to put nail polish dots on it so we knew which sides to put together to then be able to snap our son into the seat!!.....when our marathon carseat arrived, I was so impressed with how easy it was to install (only minutes!!). I just LOVE the latch system. The straps do not get twisted as they are much better quality and have a greater thickness to them. The velcro to hold the straps was a great idea so you can get the child easily into it without having to dig the straps out from under them!! The price was well worth it as the quality of this carseat is much greater than the one we presently have. In fact my husband wants to get another one for his vehicle. The free shipping was a plus even though you have to wait to receive it as the demand is through the roof!! I only waited about a week before it was shipped. I am confident that my child is in the safest and best carseat ever made!! Many thanks....and I have started spreading the word about Britax carseats to all my friends with children!! Thank you for offering such a fantastic product!!

Excellent carseat!

We love the Marathon carseat. It was easy to install and very sturdy. Our son is also very comfortable in it. We have owned a Roundabout for 2 years. Now that we have 2 little ones, we needed to buy a second carseat. We have been thrilled with both Britax models.

Well worth the price

We are extremely pleased with our Britax Marathon car seat. Our daughter loves the seat. It has plenty of cusion for those long trips, thick webbing that doesnt bunch up, and is very sturdy. I was worried that it would be too big for her but when she outgrew the infant car seat, she had no problems with this one. It was easy to install and took very little time to figure out. The price is hefty but well worth it!

The Best Carseat Out There!

I searched for months on various carseat review websites to find the perfect carseat - this one is it!!
First of all, it's a beautiful seat. The fabric (we chose Stormy) looks wonderful and better than that it FEELS wonderful - all soft and cushy.
Secondly, it installs easily. It is bigger than most carseats, but considering it's a convertible that can hold a 65lb child, it's well worth it. If you have a very small backseat, however, you should try out the seat in your car before you buy it.
Last, you can't beat Britax's safety standards.
The ONLY complaint - if you can even call it that - is that you can't currently find (or at least I haven't been able to) a place to buy a second carseat cover for this size seat.
Besides that - you cannot go wrong with this seat!

We received our Marathon seat in three days after placing our order. It is wonderful. Every review we read is absolutely correct. It is the best carseat on the market and worth every penny. It was easy to install and looks so comfy. I love the velcro strips to keep those straps from tangles. We look forward to several years with this seat.

I did many hours of research and settled on the Britax Marathon because I have a large/tall baby. I was concerned, however, because ever site I went to had the seat on backorder. I chose to go ahead and order it from elitecarseats.com and was so glad I did. I received the seat in only 2 weeks!
I took the seat to the local firehouse to have it professionally installed and they were very impressed with the ease of installation and hefty construction. My baby is still rear facing and very comfortable in his seat.

Very impressed with elitecarseats.com customer service and the free shipping is nice also. The seat arrived exactly when indicated and we are very impressed with it after just installing it into our crew cab pickup. Feels very secure and was simple to install.

Good for an almost 3 year old!

We purchased this seat because I have a large 2.5 year old--40+ pounds--and he could no longer fit into any harnessed seats. He was too young and short for just a booster seat though. He fits well in this seat and loves the Fido fabric (he calls it the blues clues super carseat). He can also see EVERYTHING out the window! His first trip in it he was asleep in about 5 minutes--that is the mark of a comfy seat. It was easy to install--the LATCH system is so great. It will not budge. I hope we can keep him in this seat until he's four and then his equally big brother will need it (6 months over 20 pounds!).

Pretty Nice Seat

I just recently purchased 2 Marathon seats. I chose that over the Roundabout due to the wider weight range. Due to this nice feature, there are some drawbacks to consider. The seat is pretty big. We put the seats in a '94 Honda Accord & '95 Nissan Maxima and there isn't a whole lot of room after that. I also found in the Honda that I had a hard time seeing when I backed up due to the seat being so big. Also, I noticed that the clips when snapped in don't click so it's hard to tell when it's secure. Otherwise, I think it's a good seat and it seemed like Elite Car Seats had the best deal.
