The best double stroller ever!!!!

If you are looking for a double stroller this is the one you want. Yes, it is expensive, but it is worth every penny. Nobody has to sit in the back. You can go anywhere with it; I can walk right into my house through the front door after walking. I can get through aisles at the store. Smooth operation very easy to operate. It has enabled me to have freedom again. Even my six year old can sit it this stroller when he's tired. The only things I would change; I would have a cup holder, make it a little easier to pick up when folded, some type of bracket to keep it closed, and make it lighter.

Best puchase ever!

I have owned my urban double for a year and still pat myself on the back every time I use it. I bought it last fall for my 3-month and my 3-year old. I did a lot of research because while the baby was still little, my older son was a tall, 45lb preschooler. I knew that a front-back double would be hard to turn/push with both of them and a regular double jogger would be too bulky and hard to turn for city use. The MUD is amazing - even now - with both kids in it (25 lbs and 49lbs) I can push and turn it with one hand. Although my older son frequently likes to get out and walk, it's so nice to have it when he gets tired like at the zoo or a far-away park. It rides so smoothly - sometimes I forget how great it is until I take out my Peg single if I'm going somewhere with only the baby. I have never found a doorway I could not get through! Only negatives which others have mentioned - it doesn't fold well and is heavy/bulky to lift. I am 5'6

Fabulous to use

We bought the Urban Double for our twins born in January. We chose it above 15 others we looked at. It was the most manoueverable and most easy to use, and it makes walking out with the twins a joy. Our 4 year old often perches on the front, and it copes with this well (although her weight right at the front makes the steering heavier than it should be). It is expensive, but worth it. Two minor complaints. First, it is very heavy (15k), and secondly it doesn't fold up very well. Both complaints stem from the buggy's strong construction. However, it did mean we could not fit it into the boot of a Volvo V40 very easily (so now we have an MPV). My wife, who is petite, finds it difficult to lift the buggy into the back of the MPV because of its weight and bulk. But these are minor faults when compared to the ease of use. A great party trick in the park (which the twins love) is to spin it in circles fast with one hand. Another slight disadvantage is that there is relatively little stowage, and I miss the netting bag at the rear which most single buggies have. With the seats reclined it is difficult getting bottles etc out of the under seat pannier. But with twins you get used to carrying rucksacks anyway. I recommend the Urban Double, but if you need to get it in and out of a vehicle much, and are small, or have a bad back, think about the weight and bulk carefully.

great jogger/stroller--it serves both purposes unless you are a very serious jogger. No pockets behind each seat but no joggers have that due to the 'bounce' factor-(it would hurt the babies back). The storage underneath is sufficient. Rides like a rolls royce--heard it could get steamy when it's rainy outside because no air vents in rain cover but haven't had it out in the rain yet-i suppose you can just untie one bottom flap. Wish i spent my money on this last year before i invested in the double maclaren and InStep double.

If you are like me, you may have been researching the best possible/practical double stroller on the market. During my twin pregnancy I tried to determine which stroller might fulfill all of my requirements. (Unfortunately, there are too few stores that seem to carry many, if any at all, to compare.) I can't tell you how delighted I am with the MBU. I wanted a

Double Duty

Reviewer: JoggingStroller.com User , Ont, Can Date: September 30, 2005
landed at the double urban about 1 1/2 yrs ago, when i required a double for my 3 children to share, it also needed to do double duty -indoors & outdoors- decently, i had no interest in having two doubles too serve this purpose. The double urban has filled these requirements and then some, it's been great to push even with only one child in it, easy to turnabout in malls and great for outdoor treks around the zoo. It's rugged/durable design has been able to withstand the worst that 3 active children can dish out and still look great. I've been through quite a few doubles over the years and this one certainly has come out on top. Great product, well worth the investment.

best double jogger on the market

I got my red double urban buggy when my son was 17 months and I just had my baby girl. We were going for walks when she was just a few days old. It was great then and is great now that they are 2 1/2 and 1 year old. I use it for walking in the neighborhood. I use the maclaren twin traveller for mall trips, shopping centers etc. I personally think that the mb is too large for use that require you load and unload it. It is much bulkier and heavier than the double umbrella style. However, I do think it is well worth the money if you walk or jog often. I leave it in the garage and leave my maclaren in my trunk. this is what works well for me but I do realize that I have spent $1000 in strollers(but aren't the kids worth it?).

The best double stroller in the world!!!!!!!!!!

I have 10-month-old twin boys and when they were born I went the typical route and got a tandem travel system double stroller. That stroller was nice and it did well when shopping, but eventually, the weather cooled down enough here in Phoenix to go for walks. On my first walk, I realized my tandem stroller was NOT made for outside terrain, even that of my suburban neighborhood. So, I eventually got an inexpensive double jogger. It was nice, but most of my walks end up at a shopping center down the street and because of the width and length of the stroller, it was impossible to get in and out of the stores without a HUGE struggle. If we went to the mall one day and a local nature trail the next day, I had to keep switching which stroller I kept in the car. I wanted a stroller that I could use shopping, but also outside. A friend recommended the Mountain Buggy Urban Double and it is one of the best purchases that I have ever made. It is perfect! It handles like a dream outside; on the street, nature trails, bumpy sidewalks, etc and it also handles great inside; in the mall, grocery stores, etc! The MBUD steers like a dream...prior to buying one, I read reviews about being able to steer with one finger and that is not a lie! You really can! I was in the mall with my twins and one twin was crying. I took him out of the stroller to comfort him and my cell phone rang. I was able to carry my 20 lb. baby, talk on the phone and push this stroller with one hand through a crowded mall! It was amazing! The narrow width of the MBUD is also a HUGE plus! I can whip up and down grocery store aisles quickly and easily! AND most importantly, my twin sons appear to love it as well! They seem very comfortable in it. I really cannot say enough good things about this stroller. I have bought hyped-up merchandise before and have been let down when the item didn't live up to my expectations. BUT, all of the good things said about the MBUD are not hype, they are fact!

you will not believe how easy it is to get around with this stroller, whether its on road, off road, in the grocery store and even on the beach!. great design - fully reclines, sun shade is very good, covered window on top to check in on the kids, option to fix wheels for jogging or release for unbelievable manuaverability. it looks bulky but thats very deceiving - its less than an inch wider than a mclarren duo and much narrower than a double jogger. folds much better than your average jogger, but is still much bulkier folded than a mclarren.
