Seat is okay - a little disappointed

After a lot of researching seats I decided with the Britax Boulevard CS. The fabric is really plush, the no thread headrest is awesome and my daughter seems more comfortable in it. Installing the seat with latch was extremely easy. The disappointment for me comes with actually trying to seat the child in the harness. The harness adjusts by pulling a belt that comes through the front of the seat. In the rear facing position, this belt is flush against the seat and is almost impossible to pull out. You can get the harness to tighten by pulling up on the belt but it is hard on the back and difficult to get it tightened properly. The CS feature is pretty much a waste of money because it seems to click long before the straps are tightened. Not sure if this is because we are pulling up on the tightening belt instead of out. If anyone has any suggestions on how to tighten the straps easier I would love to hear them. Britax has a rear facing harness video but I do not believe the seat is installed rear facing in that video as you can not see the seat back so it is useless.

Extreme Comfort!

We bought the Lauren style last year and there's nothing negative to say about this car seat. The fabric is extremely soft, the sitting is extremely comfortable. Every time I put my daughter in it, you can tell that she's started to doze off, feel very relaxed and if the trip is longer than 30 minutes, she'd fall asleep fast on it. Sometimes it becomes an issue because she's too comfortable in it that she doesn't want to get out. My ... sister in law who thought of herself as someone who always buy the most expensive thing got jealous when she saw my two Britax collections and quickly swapped all her children car seats to Britax. Just because she knows I only buy the best for my daughter so she would always copy what I bought.
Installation on the car seat is very easy for me. We have an Infiniti and it only took me seconds to install.
Britax is pretty much the best car seat brand out there you could easily find. It's pricey but our children life is priceless as well as their comfort. So every penny is all worth it when it comes to buying Britax.

I think this carseat is outstanding. It fits well in my car (a sedan) and my son is very comfortable in it. I really like the 'click' sound made when the straps are tight enough. It takes all the guess work out of it and ensures a good fit. Very easy to install!

Really love the way by daughter is well hugged by the side impact protection and removable back cushion, one little drawback is that it is hard to tighten the straps and hear the "click" when rear facing. Easy installation.

Love this seat...but...

hate the short crotch strap! I would rate this seat at 99.9% perfect, except for that darn strap. My 6-month old LOVES this seat and falls asleep almost immediately once he is buckled in. He used to fuss and squirm in the Graco infant seat, so we are very happy with the Britax. It is a larger seat, but fits fine in my Mitsubishi Endeavor, rear-facing. I would definitely buy this seat again, but would beg the Britax company to just add an extra inch or two to the crotch strap!

A great seat

I love this seat. It is a beautiful color that will complement any interior or gender. The fabric is super soft. My DD used to sweat so badly in her infant seat, this fabric helps keep the air flowing so no more sweaty back. I really do enjoy the click n safe feature. Although its not really necessary if you know how tight to put the strap, it just brings peace of mind. The only thing I didn't like about the seat is instillation. It is a little tricky in some cars. It took me a few times to practice getting it tight enough with the seat belt, but the third time was a charm. Alot different than installing a infant carrier. I would recommend watching the demos on the britax website. Also, make sure you put a towel under the seat because the base has some sharper edges that might rub a hole in the car's seat. This seat is worth the $ for the peace of mind it gives me. Plus the DD seems to enjoy it much more than her carrier.

We Love It!

We bought one for each of our cars (cowmooflage and berkshire tan). It fits in our Camry (center) and Forrester (center), being a little tight in the Forrester but I think that is only b/c it is rear facing. My husband and I both had difficulty understanding the written directions and pictures that came with the seat. We actually tried to install it with the belt initially and instead of running it through (underneath) the seat we tried it over the top are around the front of it. Needless to say the belt did not reach. We ended up installing it with the latch (so much easier). I love the tether for the floor that makes a big difference. I called elitecarseats to let them know that the belt did not work for the rear install. They referred me to the britax website to watch the install video. I don't know how the heck we were trying to install it but we were so wrong! ha ha When you do it the right way, it is so easy. My advice to anyone purchasing the seat is to watch the install video at britax.com before you even open up the directions. The seat is of superior quality in our opinion, the colors look even better in person and the padding is very plush. I like the belts a lot better than our britax Companion infant seat. It is very easy to put our 21lb 7mo little boy in. I would definitely purchase the seat again. It's comfy, looks great and easy to install once you watch the video. My son loves it and so do we. My only regret is that Britax is coming out with an upgraded model in 2009 that looks awesome (it's on their website), I wish that one would have been out now. I'd also like to mention that the customer support was outstanding at elitecarseats. Thank you.
