Reviews for Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR Booster car seat
Safety & Comfort

I bought the XR version of this booster seat because it has a recline feature and our back seats are very upright. The recline feature does work enough to prevent my son's head from falling forward while sleeping once I took the head rest from my car off to give the seat back more of a slope. Clearly the seat will work better with cars that have more reclined back seats. My son is perfectly happy now and it's been worth the extra money to get the recline feature. The seat keeps the lap portion just where it out to be. The shoulder positioning path is tight making it hard for my 4 year old son to buckle himself, but I feel confident that it would hold my son firmly in place if needed.

We just recieved our new a seat and are very happy. My first impression when I pulled it out of the box was that it was not flimsy. This seat will be just a comfortable as the britax Marathon we had before also a great seat. Best head protection I have seen and the adjustable side wings helps with a custom fit. My car also has bucket seats in the back that recline so the recline feature allows the seat to sit comfortably. My biggest concern is always saftey this seat holds the belts in the perfect position. the top thread also allows the belt to slide smoothly and it doesn't come out everytime they unbuckle making it easy for the child to buckle the seat. only con if the fabric could be a little softer although it does seem to be good quality and durable.
Overall so much better than the compass we looked at which was uncomfortable, sat completely straight backed and had virtually no side impact protection. The Maxi Cosi has serious side impact for the head AND BODY.
