A 5 point harness that looks like a "big boy seat." Flexible back allows portability and reclining if your seats recline, but limits placement. (Won't fit tightly against the seat in the middle of my split back 2nd row). No trouble with twisting straps. Easy to adjust. My child can't unbuckle easily which is a plus and minus. My son is tall. I am not sure he'll be able to use the harness until he is 52" tall, like the specifications show. However, I had a Britax Marathon before and would choose this over the Britax Regent again!

I want to thank all of you for the great reviews. It helped me decide on trying this booster seat out. That's why I'm returning the favor and writing my own. I found that this car seat is a great product with the easiest installation. It came with a DVD explaining step by step. It explains everything you need to know prior to you placing your child in it for a ride. I am very content with the purchase. The booster is light, it conforms to the vehicle's seat. Very very secure with minimal effort! My daughter is a 4 yr old that weighs 42 lbs, she's 42 inches, and she fits extremely comfortably. It takes up half the space that the Eddie Bauer car seat did, leaving more space in the back seat for the other kids. I saw the Britax Regenta up close and it is a Dinosaur compared to this one. I would stick to this seat if your kids are between 2-5 yrs old. Thanks elitecarseats!! With my previous car seat it would take at least 10 minutes to tighten it up with the extra latch from toys'r'us. This car seat took me two minutes at most (my first time).

Deceiving!

I purchased this seat for my daughter who is about to turn five. She is on the small side at only 36 lbs and I was hoping that this would be the perfect seat for her since she is getting older. I was also hoping to keep her in a 5-point harness for awhile longer and since she is on the lighter side I felt that the 60 lb limit would be sufficient. I was surprised to find however that after checking with my car's manufacturer that the tether limit for a VW Passat is only 40 lbs therefore making the 5-point harness unusable in the next 4 lbs. She would then need to move to the backless booster which I am not at all comfortable with since there is no shell around her body. My advice here is to CHECK YOUR CAR'S TETHER LIMITS prior to purchasing this booster if you plan on using the harness. DO NOT ASSUME IT IS OKAY IF THE MANUAL DOESN'T STATE A LOWER LIMIT. The 60 lb limit is very deceiving and although they do state to check with your car's MANUAL, I don't feel like Safeguard placed enough emphasis on this crucial piece of information and many parents may overlook this putting their children at great risk without even being aware of it. My car's manual does not specify a specific weight which according to Safeguard means I can assume the 60 lb limit is okay!!! It was not until I actually called VW Headquarters to verify the limit did I discover that the limit is only 40 lbs.
For this reason I have returned the Safeguard GO and purchased the Radian80. I am very happy with it and plan to purchase another one for my three year old.

Fantastic Seat!

My son loves this seat. It's comfortable for him. He can recline in our back seat, which makes traveling MUCH easier on him. Who wants to sit completely vertical? We don't, so why would our child?
This seat is also ABSOLUTELY safe. It's easy to install, and just an overall great buy. I'd not hesitate to buy another if we needed one for another car. It's also PERFECT for the family trip we are taking soon. We can throw it in its sturdy bag and do the whole airport thing with no problems, or HUGE/BULKY car seat to lug about.
It's great that we can just bring this along on our trip and click it into the rental car in under a minute, and not have to even sweat doing it! Our other seat is a Britax, and while it is a wonderful seat, taking it on trips was a bear.
We all love this seat!

Happy Parents and Kids!

If you need a seat for a sports car or a small European car, this seat is for you! When we decided to get a new convertible BMW, we hadn't anticipated it being so difficult to find car seats that would fit in the backseats. We searched high and low, and decided to try the SafeGuard Go seats. I was just ecstatic when I opened the box and saw how narrow the base of the seat was, and even more excited when it took me only a few minutes to install both of them in the backseat. Now, my little ones can enjoy riding in the convertible too, and I can have peace of mind knowing they are in a 5-point harness utilizing the 3-point latch system and strapped in safely. Thank you SO much EliteCarSeats.com!

As good as they say it is

We love these seats. We bought three to put in two cars for our two boys (4 and 2 and 1/2 years). We already had a Cosco seat that we really liked, but the SafeGuard seats far outshine it and the boys actually fight over who will sit in the seat in the one car that still has the Cosco seat. The seats leave much more leg room for them, are easier to keep clean and also easier for them to climb into and out of. Last night our 4 year old fell asleep in one of the seats - which he never does anymore - and we could barely wake him up, so I have not had the same experience as other reviewers who feel that the seat is not comfortable to sleep in. In fact, the head rest extensions on the side actually did a better job of keeping his head up than any of our other seats ever had. We love how light they are and how easily they pack up. Our next trip should be a lot more manageable. I recommend these seats highly!

Safe and easy to use

Safety as a parent is our first priority. We struggled with our daughter moving into a booster seat that didn't even latch into the car. As we all do as parents, the horrible visions of an accident happening and her little 40 lb body not being held in. After researching many car seats and booster seats we chose this one. We feel that the 5 point harness is not coomparable. The britax was just WAY too bulky and would take up most of the back seat. The SafeGuard Go fits securely and is easy for her to do on her own and feel like she's not in a baby seat any more. It latches in easily and securely. It has many adjustments and fits our fairly petite daughter well. We feel so much safer with her being in this seat rather than a booster that doesn't latch in with nothing more than a seat belt that she could move around. I would highly reccomment this seat!

Great Seat

My only issue with this seat is since the back of the seat lies right against your car seat, it does not recline, making it difficult for a child to sleep in. My back seats recline, so it works for us. I'll have to buy a different seat for my husband's car. The seat is very easy to install.
