Reviews for SafeGuard Go booster seat
Good to Go

We love the fact that our son will be in a five point harness until 60 pounds and there aren't too many other affordable options out there. We also like the portability of the seat since we travel a lot. It was easy to install and take back out. It gives us the security of a car seat without looking like one...our son loves his "big boy" booster seat. I was a bit concerned with the safety of a soft back booster, but its appears strong. We feel its a good investment for our son's safety for many years to come.

Quick and easy to install. I feel safe with my child in it because it has a 5 point harness. My son can easily snap himself in making him feel like a big boy.

Love It

I love this as a replacement for my out grown and "crashed" Britax Marathon (2x low speed rearend accidents). I moved my daughter into this at age 4. This is the best fit for my family - it is a secure latch booster seat with the highest weight limit for a 5 point harness. It is ENVIRONMENTALLY CORRECT -it does not have a lot of plastic which may out gas toxins like bulkier seats. After doing a lot of research I feel that this is a well thought out safe and portable seat. I love the fact that now at age 5 she is still in a 5 point harness. (I have a compass for playdates/school, but its tipy compared to this). The fact that I can use it as a "latch booster" is an added plus. I do have a van with "captains chairs" in the second row, and if we are on a long trip I will recline the seat so that her head does not fall forward. Every car seat is different, and thankfully we have choices. For me I am greatful that I can keep my daughter in a 5 point harness as long as possible. I would highly recommend this seat for an older toddler who has outgrown the marathon, but wants to stay in a 5 point harness.

Excellent Booster! Love It!

I bought this booster seat for my 5 year old. She is on the small side and I really didn't feel that she was safe in a traditional booster seat. I really love this seat! It was very easy to install and is very secure. My daughter loves the seat. It looks just like a regular booster so when she has a friend in the car they don't feel like they are in a baby seat.
My only complaint is that the head guards are tricky to position with the cars headrest. The top tether needs to go underneath the cars headrest - so when you put the headrest back on it won't snap down to the lowest position (the tether is in the way). We had to play around with the tension of the top tether to get it just right. Other than that we love it! I plan to buy one for my 3 year old as soon as she hits the 30 pound requirement.

Only OK for smaller child

I bought this seat and returned it because it was too difficult for my six year old (41 inches / 35 lbs) to get in and out of. He has to tighten one strap on each side of his leg which he simply could not get tightened and push the metal bar/push button on both side straps to get out. Additionally, there is no way the height goes any higher than 45 inches. My son, at only 41 inches was at the top of the height of the seat(head wings all the way up and no way to make them higher)

Not as big as it looks

I was really excited about this car seat, until I saw it in person. I was looking for a car seat because my 4 year old outgrew his 5pt. booster. He is in the 97th percentile for height and weight. There is no way he'd fit in this car seat. I measured the height of his shoulders while sitting and it's about 16.5" the height of the straps on this car seat are about the same. I was very disappointed. It looks like a nice seat if you don't have a large child though.

Experience with the Safeguard Go Booster Seat
Reviewer: Amy , Dallas, Texas

We purchased the SafeGuard Go booster seat for my 3 1/2 year old, and have had a good experience with it so far. I like the fact that it is solid black-goes with my black/black leather interior. It is very easy for my son to get into, and he says that it is very comfortable. I also like the fact that it still has the 5 point harness system, as well as the latch and tether system. We have a new Honda Odyssey, and it works great.
My husband said that it is pretty easy to get into the van. The only slight negative is that the shoulder straps are sometimes hard to loosen.
We are very happy with the purchase.

Excellent Seat

I love this seat for my 3 year old son. It's easy to install, he loves it as well and since he's not so high up off the seat, he can have toys and books, etc next to him and still reach them without help.

Very Pleased

I have a very tall but thin 3 year old who looked like a giant in his Britax Marathon, but I wasn't ready to put him in a Booster and didn't want another HUGE Britax Regent (that is in our other vehicle, Super Safe but sooo big). So I thought what the heck why not try it. We have been very pleased. Our initial installation failed, but we were in a hurry and didn't read the directions, but after reading, it was as simple as can be. Overall it is a great seat and works perfect for what we needed. The storage bag is an added bonus for travel. I had to purchase my compass bag seperately!!
