it is a good buy!

I spent quite a lot of time comparing Baby Jogger and - BOB Revolution. Almost made my order for BOB until I read some newest reviews by BOB users - parents said that BOB is perfect for those who pushed the stroller, but the user - the little one - tends to slouch. I immediately bought this one instead, and it turned out to be a correct decision. My 6-month old never slouches inside. But she is still a little bit ... hidden back whenever sitting inside, no matter how we adjusted the stripes/back support. But all in all, this is a good buy.
One more thing, that's related with this website though. The confirmation letter from the website said that I will get 1 Parents Magazine ($9.99 value) but I never got that, which ... was quite conflicting with what I felt through the whole researching-ordering-processing process.

Thank you so much for your review. The magazine offer that is included with every order on our website is a free 1 year subscription. The magazine does not come with your purchase, rather it is a subscription you will begin receiving in about 6-8 weeks from the magazine company.
Please feel free to contact us with any other questions or concerns you may have and thanks again for the feedback!
Thanks,

The only stroller you need

I spent hours and hours researching strollers (more than I've ever spent researching cars, I'm sure). I FINALLY decided on the Baby Jogger City Classic, and I'm so glad I did. It turns on a dime. The umbrella is unbelievable. The folding mechanism is fast and easy. It's compact. The handle is height adjustable! And, best of all, my little girl sits up straighter than she would in most jogging-style strollers. She's nearly completely upright. The harness is infinitely adjustable, and fit fairly well even when she was smaller (we've had it since about 6 months). It wasn't as snug as her infant car seat harness, but I'm only strolling on gravel or tromping through a park - I'm not a jogger - so I don't feel this is a problem for us.
As for the durability of this stroller? well, my husband (accidentally) left it behind my Jeep Cherokee one night and the next morning I backed over it. Aside from a few scratches, I really think that, had the wheels been off of it, it would still be usable (the centers of the wheels broke out ? everything else is intact). It really doesn?t seem to have sustained more than a few bumps and bruises. We purchased another stroller, just in case, but I was truly impressed that it can sustain that kind of abuse and still one complete stroller instead of a bunch of pieces.
It doesn't come with cup holders, but neither do most higher-end European strollers, and it's not a problem to buy a separate accessory. The basket and seat-back storage provide enough space for our needs when we use this stroller; if you're shopping and want to store packages, I'd suggest a big, full-size stroller. My only real complaint is that there isn?t a way to secure the stroller when it?s collapsed; it folds in half, and there?s no way to keep the halves from wanting to separate some. I think this could be an easy at-home fix with a Velcro strap if I?m ever that motivated. Overall, I'd recommend it to my friends and even recommend skipping the traditional stroller system. Here?s why:
? It is no heavier than a full-size stroller.
? It?s actually less awkward to handle than a full-size stroller and takes up less space in my car
? it is car seat compatible (though not with my Chicco KeyFit 30)
? It?s able to tackle any terrain
? The maneuverability is unbeatable (ever try a full-size stroller in a cramped store or changing room?)
? As for child size, it may be the only stroller you need (up to 75 pounds!)
? The umbrella offers COMPLETE protection from the sun
? The swivel front wheel ? I wouldn?t have any other type (and it locks)
I love my Cortina, but I would not hesitate to trade it for another Baby Jogger.

So Far, So Good

We've only used the stroller a few times so far, as our baby is only 4 months. I love the one-handed lift to fold and the one-handed lowering of the seat back. Manuvering is great. I park it in the closet and wheel it right out the door, through narrow doorways no problem. I have experienced the back getting to heavy and the stroller wanting to tip. Now I'm aware of this I put things in the bottom pocket rather than the back pocket. The canopy shades well even with the low winter sun. For the price I wish it came with the cup holder. Need to lock the front wheel on tougher terrain or going over curbs/stairs. So far , so good.

Bassinet is great

We bought our first Baby Jogger 10 years ago, and loved it. Now we have a new baby and bought a new Baby Jogger, and it is even better. The bassinet is a great addition and was well worth the price, altho in my sleep deprived state, I did have a momentary problem trying to figure out how to install the bassinet. It was intuitive, but not supported by the manual (written or on-line). Don't worry--- it was easy once I sat down and thought about it. We can't speak highly enough of Baby Jogger.

great stroller,great customer service

I'm an avid runner and have been dealing with the Baby Jogger company for many years and have always found them to be excellent. For example, I didn't read the directions for the City City Series, ran with the jogger and the wheel started to wobble. My fault but they replaced the whole jogger for me anyway. Their strollers are very hardy. My favorite is one I purchased 5 yrs ago and has been through many miles of marathon training with us in all weather conditions!
The City Series is not a running stroller however it's durable, folds w one hand, and handles well.

Brake and fabric issues

I invested in this stroller due to great reviews on this site and others, however I am disappointed. This stroller has so many WONDERFUL features, however, the foot brake spontaneously releases on our stroller and this is a HUGE safety concern for us. Last time it happened at the zoo and my son rolled down a huge hill and a nice man stopped him (thank goodness)! The other thing that happened was that a metal rod popped out on the sunshade. Unfortunately I did not contact joggingstroller.com within their 30day time frame and they will not return or provide a credit for this stroller, despite this huge safety concern. It is really too bad and because of this incident I will not buy my next stroller from joggingstroller.com and I do not recommend them due to poor customer service.
Comments from The Staff:
I want to apologize for your frustrations, but because this stroller was purchased 7 months ago, we are limited and bound to our agreement with the manufacturer. The stroller is still under warranty through Baby Jogger, which who we did offer to contact for you previously. Manufactures prefer to administer their own warranties, and while we try to be as liberal as possible, 6 months past our 30-day ability to take back the product has long since past. Baby Jogger Customer Service can be reached at 800-241-1848.

The Baby Jogger City Series strollers are fabulous products, but they are categorized incorrectly on this site. They are not running strollers. They are suitable for brisk walking and very light jogging.
Comments from The Staff:
Thanks for re-emphasizing this point. JoggingStroller.com agrees that the Baby Jogger City Classic is a fantastic stroller suitable for brisk walking and very light jogging. We've always noted this fact in our description with, "The Baby Jogger City Classic single is NOT equipped for jogging". We always appreciate it when our customers keep us on our toes and we're happy to have you contribute your expertise.

LOVE IT!

This Stroller is fabulous! It's great for walking outside and great to maneuver in the stores and malls. I love it and the adjustable handle is great for me and my husband we are both tall! It folds up so easy and the tire size is perfect, not to big and not to small. I highly recommend this stroller!
