Installation

The Vivo Lite is a booster seat that installs with your vehicles safety belts. It is equipped with a unique belt loop guide in the headrest that keeps the safety belt in the proper position with every installation.

Safety

COMPARISON

RECARO Vivo booster car seats comes in two versions, the "Vivo" and "Vivo Lite". These two RECARO booster seats are identical except for the fabrics. The RECARO Vivo is covered in a plush microfiber material, while the Vivo Lite features a breathable fabric with soft mesh inserts.

Compared to the RECARO Start booster car seat, the Vivo and Vivo Lite have a higher weight capacity (100 lbs vs. the Start's 80 lbs). However, the Start has a full range of adjustment settings that tailor the seat to the child. The Start also weighs 14 lbs more and has a number of features (like a top tether, anti-submarining ramp, and a RECARO sound system) that set it apart.

    Great Seat!

    I just purchased 2 of these seats after reading other reviews and doing some research on Recaro! They are great! The cobalt looks great and matches my car and the carbon is perfect for my husbands truck. The backrest is hard to connect to the seat when it's being put together - it took me a long time and all my strength to get it together. I was so excited I could not wait for my husband to get home. I left his alone and he snapped it together in second. Note to mothers - let your husband do this! :) I thought my 3 year old son was going to have a hard time getting used to this seat - he did not want me to take his old convertable seat out but he loves it. It's so easy for him to climb into the seat and he feels like such a big boy now! He's able to lean his head on the side "wings" and looks really cozy. Perfect 10!

    Fantastic booster seat, excellent value

    We absolutely love this seat! My young one feels like such a "big kid". It is very sturdy and fits very well in both family cars. We especially like the side impact head protection. It certainly keeps our child correctly positioned in his seat! Don"t think twice, it is a wonderful seat and a great price.

    Nice Car Seat

    This is a very nice looking car seat. It seems to be sturdy and good quality. We bought these for our 3 year old and 4 year old and the seat seems to fit both of them quite well. My boys are not husky nor are they on the thin side, they are simply average. My only complaint is that it is a little difficult to attach the backrest to the seat bottom, but on the plus side that also means that it won't become detached very easily either. Overall, we are extremely happy with the Recaro Vivo Lite Booster Seat and would definitly recommend it to others.

    Don't Get Cute, Get Recaro!

    We love this seat! I purchased it for its greater side impact protection than standard seats. I'm into high performance autos and Recaro is what my friends use in adult auto racing, so get the kiddies the safest seat in their size. My daughter had trouble sleeping in her old booster; she kept flopping over with the seatbelt around her neck (yikes) while asleep! The new Recaro's head wings cradle her gently while she is sleeping and she does not seem bothered by their size. She also loves the cool pink color. The only negative is that the seat does not have a cupholder which is an issue in my Tahoe's captains' chairs. Meanwhile, the customer service team gamely handled a customer service issue with our order and we would definitely do business with them again.

    Great! Very Sturdy - Great construction

    I just started using our 2 Vivo Lite boosters. WOW. The first BIG thing that you will immediately notice if you get a change to see this seat is the incredible build quality and rigid construction. I have tried quite a few car seats and they all give some side to side or they do not have the side impact protection these have. What they have done is integrated rectangular aluminum like the retractable handles on suitcases and this is part of the headrest up and down mechanism, very sturdy. The plastic body is very robust AND the side impact protection is incredible with the head "wings". Great support and this seat is actually tested & side impact certified in Europe, (US does not require this) the is the only one I could find certified, Britax may be but does not advertise it.?. The seat also has the "white foam" EPS foam and has nibs to help with ventilation and comfort. I am very happy with the seat and the fabric is really great and fits like a glove. The "carbon" ones I got are very attractive with a brighter piping that matches the Recaro logo, which cannot be detected from the stock pics. The padding is as good or better than any other booster with matching vent holes as well. This is definitely top quality at a great price.

    great side protection

    I chose this for the shoulder width and the head protection--the Vivo Lite gets 5 stars for this. The Britax Parkway was so narrow in the shoulder area that my son wasn't able to put his back against the back of the car seat with his winter coat on, and even w/o a coat he seemed to be pitched forward. The seat to fit well in the car. The only thing I don't like is the seat belt portion of the restrain system. It's not easy to buckle up because ot the shape of the seat belt guides--the belt gets hung up and doesn't retract easily--you must really take care to snug up the belt portion then the shoulder harness. The belt doesn't encircle my son (from R hip, over abdomen to L hip) as did his Britax booster. The seat belt guides are so far forward that the belt doesn't touch his hips, it just rest across his abdomen. I called Recaro and spoke w/a rep who didn't seem to know the product at all. I'll try again.

    Good Booster Seat

    This is a great booster seat. My 3 yr old son loves it. He feels like such a big boy in it. I love that it has alot of head support. Most booster seats don't. The upholstery is excellent, and it matches my car!! The padding in the seat is OK, I wish is was a little bit thicker. And it very easy to clean!!! Good Buy!!
