Great seat - The harness straps are adjustable!

This seat is great for the price! I read some of the reviews where the parents stated that their children had to hunch over because of the harness straps. I thought I was going to have the same problem and was going to return the seat. Then my husband found that the straps are adjustable. If you turn the seat over there are two places to adjust the straps. The seat comes with the straps hooked in the middle for a small baby/child. You just have to unhook them and rehook at the very bottom of the straps. Also, you can move the buckle that is between the childs legs forward or back. My 2 year old daughter is in the 95th percentile for height and she fits just fine with alot of room to grow now that my husband found where to adjust the harness straps. I hope this helps because a child should not continue to sit in a seat that forces them to hunch over. The other great thing is that this seat has a recline stand attached to the bottom so you can put it in a vehicle without having to stuff towels or a pillow under the seat like I have to do with my $300 carseat. If you don't need the stand it easily pushes in and locks under the seat so you don't even know it is there.

Disappointed

I had the same exact problem as the previous customer from Salem, OR who said it was mediocre. Our daughter just turned one and is now getting too big for her snugride. So we put her in the comfortsport. She has a long torso and the straps are now at the maximum shoulder height. Our daughter is also not a huge baby, just long. So now the shoulder straps force her to slouch down. We received this as a shower gift and only took it out of the box a year later. We don't have a receipt so can not exchange. After trying this out for a week we are now shopping around for a Britax Marathon or Roundabout 50.

We have twins and have 2 of these seats and have used more expensive seats. these seats are excellent. You have to adjust the straps each time... that is what the manufacturers expect. with 2 children and now over 2, we had no height or weight issues [although one has been at 75 percentile and the other 60.. ] and swap the seat use from time to time. they are easy to clean and like most, not easy to put back together. and they are wearing very well despite lots of use. when you ahve to buy 2 of everything, you have to be very flexibly and know when you have a good buy.

I love this seat. When it came time to putting my little girl rear facing in a bigger seat, i really wanted the Britax, but considering I needed three seats, I really couldn't afford the $280.00 per carseat. The more I researched car seats, people seemed the think that the Britax were so good mainly because they were large and could be used for a long time. I came across the Graco that is a whopping $200.00 less and comparable in size! I have a camry and the seat would only fit in the center back seat while rear-facing because it is a large carseat. My husband has an F150 and the seat fit great rear-racing in his truck. Once the seat is forward-facing, it will fit anywhere. All of our other baby gear is Graco and I have had great luck with their well-made products. I have been impressed with this seat and would (and have) recommend it. On the flip side, I do have to straighten the straps once a week to make sure that they are even. But the task is easy, and is well worth the savings!!!

We bought this carseat when our son outgrew his snugride at around 4 months of age (yes he was chunky). He now is 19 months old (32 inches and 30lbs) and still in his comfort sport. We did have the same problems as described in other reviews. The straps were a little uneven at times but easily fixed when you pulled the other strap a little and his head would flop down when he was asleep. I reclined the seat to the absolute allowed max with a towel and that worked. As he got older his head wouldn't fall forward no more. I cannot complain about the Comfort sport. Actually I'm thinking about buying one for our 6 week old daughter since she hates the reclined position of the snugride and likes to sit up more.

Kept my daughter safe!

When I was looking for a bigger car seat, I settled on this one because a few reviews mentioned how it survived car accidents. I am SO GLAD we had this car seat a few weeks ago when we were in a bad accident on the freeway. My daughter (2 yrs) walked away without a bruise even though her dad and I both had some injuries.
I know it's a bit big, but we had it secured properly in our two-door Honda Accord with only minor difficulty and it performed it's most important function - keeping our daughter safe when it was most vital!
So relieved...I'm back to purchase a new one per our insurance company's request (you're not supposed to use a car seat after it's been in any kind of accident).
(I'd give it four and a half stars if I could, since it does make her slump a bit when she sleeps).

ComfortSport Metro.

I couldn't believe how fast I received my car seat. So far we have had NO problems with our METROPOLITIAN COMFORTSPORT. The only thing I would complain about is how it was packaged. When we took it out of the box it didn't have plastic covering the carseat. Because of that, there were pieces of lint from the cardboard all over it. Did this happened to you? Anyway, I still recommend this to anybody.

Mediocre

We are very disappointed that we spent $100 on a seat that we expected would last us until our child is 3 or 4 years old. I was satisfied with the seat even though we had some slight strap issues when she was a newborn. now she's 10 months old and we need a new carseat because it can't handle her height rear facing. she's almost at the top slots and the more her shoulders are above the holes the more strap issues we have. This car seat will NOT work if you plan on extended rear facing a child to the weight limit. My daughter is only 60th percentile on height and weight, so it's not like she's huge or anything. Now we have to go shell out more money for a Britax so that she can stay rear facing longer than a year. We could have spent that in the begining and not wasted our money on something that we could have spent towards the Briax in the begining, next child we will be going straight for Britax

Okay seat

First of all, this seat is definately not the top of the line. It is quickly outgrown, but if you know that and are saving for a bigger forward facing seat, such as a
Radian,
Regent,
Frontier, or
Natulius, it's not a bad buy. We bought it, didn't like the uneven tightening, bought a
Britax Decathalon for one car and a
Marathon for the other. But we kept this seat and sent it to grandma's. Well, now we have a need for a third seat for work, but didn't have the money yet to shell out for a new seat. He has almost outgrown the seat, but he does still fit. This seat has just come in handy and it is comfortable. Not the best, but not the worst ever. It's comfy and not an insanely bad seat if you have another primary seat.
