Our Review of the Combi Torino DX stroller

The Combi Torino DX features all the usual Combi refinements, plus a few that you won't get with any other Combi stroller. The Torino DX is almost at the top of the Combi stroller list in terms of mobile conveniences that will satisfy both the pusher and the passenger. The Torino DX is compatible with the fantastic Combi Shuttle infant car seat . . . meaning you can start stepping out as soon as you get back from the hospital.

BENEFITS FOR MOM AND DAD

Just pull the Tornio DX out of the trunk, open it easily with one hand, click the infant carrier directly into the Torino DX, and you and baby are on your way. The stroller accommodates children up to 55 lbs. Standing freely when folded, the Torino DX stores just about anywhere when not in use.

Convenience: With features such as a parent cup holder and one of the largest under seat storage baskets, the Tornio DX isn't just for baby. Easily carry the Torino DX thanks to its light weight - 16.5 lbs. For fashion conscious parents, the Torino DX coordinates with the Combi Shuttle.

Pushability: Caretakers of different heights never kick the wheels while pushing thanks to the adjustable pivoting handle. Because the Torino DX is lightweight, lifting the stroller up steep curbs is never a problem.

Compatibility: Fits the Combi Shuttle Infant Car Seat.

Safety:

  • 5-point harness
  • Locking rear wheels

BENEFITS FOR JACK OR JILL

The Torino DX has a full recline, so your sleepy infant or toddler can lean back and nap. An adjustable canopy protects your napping little one from the sun, while a removable kiddie console gives children access to drinks, snacks, and toys. One way or another, this Combi stroller has your kid covered.

Comfort: A 5-point harness adjusts for maximum comfort and gives children a sense of security. An extended, padded leg rest supports toddler legs, and breathable air mesh seats keep little ones cool on the hottest August day.

Comparison: The Combi Flex features many of the same luxurious extras as the Torino DX, including an attachable diaper bag. The Flex accommodates the Combi Connection infant car seat. I took forever to make this stroller decision. We had to upgrade after 7 months of happily using a frame stroller (Graco Snap and Go) with our car seat. I ended up selling our Zooper Swing stroller because it was heavy, impossible to fold, and had no basket access. So, this time I wanted something that was as easy as the frame stroller, but had all the amenities of a full-size stroller. I almost got the smaller Combi, but I didn't like the tiny basket and it seemed a bit small overall. The Torino is really light; it's folds up nicely and it's very compact, so it doesn't take up a lot of trunk space; it has a decent basket; cupholder for me and tray for my son; the sun shade is far superior to the smaller combi or most small strollers; footrest for smaller kids; reclines easily; adjustable handle; looks rather stylish. So, I'm really pleased with my decision and I barely miss our frame stroller.
