Our Review of the Combi Helio DX stroller

The Combi Helio DX stroller is the runner-up in Combi's evolving line of light and portable travel system strollers. The Helio DX sits just beneath the Combi Flex in its range of features - and price - while still offering virtually everything a discerning parent could ask for in a convenient, agile, and easy to manage baby stroller for everyday use.

BENEFITS FOR MOM & DAD

Light, maneuverable, and attractively styled, the new Combi Helio DX baby stroller is built on an aluminum frame and weighs a mere 13 lbs. Despite it's light weight, the Helio can carry a newborn in a car seat and a toddler up to 55 lbs.

What's more, the Combi Helio stroller comes in all new styles and colors, and with a taller handle height than previous Combi strollers.

CONVENIENCE

Combi designed the Helio DX to be as easy to manage as possible, with your baby seated in it or not. The car seat compatible Helio stroller features a tri-fold mechanism that makes for an extra narrow fold. The carrying strap lets you slip a folded Helio over your shoulder, and when you need to put the wheels back on the ground, the frame locks back in place with just one hand.

The Helio DX also comes with a big storage basket beneath the seat for goodies necessities, a storage/travel bag to protect your folded up Combi stroller, and the a removable seat cushion that is machine washable. A removable, coordinated diaper bag that attaches to the handles is included.

PUSHABILITY

The Helio DX has dual front swivel wheels for tight turns, and a higher handlebar than older Combi strollers. The independent, all-wheel suspension system for the Helio's large rubber wheels not only smoothes out the bumps for your baby, it helps you maintain an even course while strolling on questionable walkways. Altogether, this is an excellent handling stroller, provided you don't go too far off the beaten path . . . or out of the shopping mall.

The padded seat, secure ride, and deep recline offered to riders in the Combi Helio are sure to take the whine out of any kid's afternoon strolls. And with its shock absorbing suspension and max weight capacity of 55 lbs, the Helio can carry even bigger kids longer and more comfortably.

SAFETY

The Helio is equipped with a 5-Point Harness and parking brake for security. It also comes with an integrated safety boot. This extra fabric under the footrest wraps up and around the guardrail to secure an infant, creating a bassinet effect, when using the stroller without a car seat.

COMFORT

Along with raising the handlebar, Combi widened the padded seating area for the Helio, making their already accommodating baby strollers even roomier than ever before. The seat material is made of an air mesh fabric for ventilation, and the seat itself reclines back to a near full recline for maximum relaxation. To top it off, the adjustable sun canopy has unique design patterns on the underside to stimulate your child's senses, in addition to providing ample shade on cloudless days.

For your child's amusement and refreshment, the Combi Helio DX features a tray and two drink holders within his or her arms reach. Toys, snacks and drinks are right there, saving you from having to hand them over all the time - and pick them up off the ground.
