Our Review of the Bumbleride Flyer stroller

Fly high with the Bumbleride Flyer. All Bumbleride strollers offer high style with full features, and the Flyer delivers on all of these points. The Flyer's reversible handle flips to allow you to face baby or have your little one face out toward the world. The quick-release wheel locking system allows you to reverse the stroller in seconds. Best of all, the Flyer comes complete with a rain cover for weatherproof strolling.

For 2009, Bumbleride has rolled out a few upgrades that make life with baby easier. A larger sun canopy adjusts more smoothly than previous year's models, a rear pocket on the canopy holds small essentials, and the newly redesigned wheels look mighty slick. Additionally, the Flyer Stroller now comes complete with a rain cover for weather-ready strolling.

Standout Features:

  • Reversible handle so baby can face you or the world
  • Front and rear wheel locking system
  • Zip-off canopy for maximum sun coverage
  • Adjustable handle bar from 32 - 45"
  • Comes complete with a rain cover and car seat adapter

Benefits for You: Bumbleride has taken the traditional stroller design and added some unique features for convenience such as the sun canopy with a zipper for easy installation and adjustable handlebar for caretakers of different heights.

Stroll however you want with the reversible handlebar - have baby towards you for interaction or away so they get a full view of the world. The front and rear wheel locking system makes for easy strolling in any direction. The swivel wheels lock straight for easier handling over rough terrain. The roomy underseat basket holds your parenting essentials.

Compatibility: The included infant car seat adapter works with a wide variety of popular Infant Car Seats including:

Benefits for Baby: The Bumbleride Flyer baby stroller comes outfitted with tons of padding in the seat, and a padded harness. Reversible, the Flyer allows baby to face you or to take a good look at the wide world. The recline-to-flat backrest accommodates infants while the infant headrest adds support for the littlest passengers.

Comparison: The Bumbleride Queen B features a reversible seat so you have the option of having baby face you or the world. In contrast to the Flyer, the Queen B adds in traditional pram styling and the ability to comfort to a two passenger tandem stroller with the Bumbleride Toddler Seat.

Another great stroller option is the three-wheel Valco Latitude, which comes complete with a bumper bar, rain cover, boot cover, and car seat adapter. The Latitude does not feature a reversible handlebar.

Wheel Problems

2
Reviewer: Anonymous , Washington, DC Date: January 02, 2010
I've had the 2009 Flyer for about 9 months now. The difficulty I've had with the wheels do not make this product worthwhile. I had to replace one wheel within a few months because it broke off. Also, just recently, the back wheels no longer lock in place, making it difficult to use. Although I love many of the features on this stroller, in the long run, I highly recommend that you avoid this stroller.

Wonderful Stroller!!!

Reviewer: Ashleigh , Quantico, VA Date: July 22, 2009
I just recently purchased the 2008 flyer and absolutely love it. When you take it out of the box you need to put the wheels on and attach the canopy, cup holder and bumper bar. I love the reversible handle. In either mode the stroller turns beautifully even with our 3 yr old daughter in it. The canopy is absolutely huge and will cover a large child. I placed a diaper bag in the basket and had no problems with the basket touching the wheels. There is a large pocket on the foot muff and a large pocket on the back of the canopy. The flyer reminds me of an expensive high end stroller without the high end price.

AWFUL!

URRGHHHH - after shoping several strollers, I thought I had found the perfect one with this one! I loved the size, I loved the fact that it the handlebars flipped from one way to the other, I liked that it was light weight, and easy to unfold BUT BUT BUT the stroller is so difficult to manuever - AND because of it, it makes everything else thats so great about the stroller not worth it. My arms get sore from pushing this stroller because it is so hard to manuver. I am constantly having to readjust the wheels, pick up the stroller, it is just so ridulous! I hate this stroller because of it. Im a single mom and dont have a lot of $ so to spend this much money on a stroller like this was a big deal for me and I am sooo disspointed. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE CONSIDERING OF PURCHASING THIS STROLLER TO LOOK ELSEWHERE

Love Mine!

Reviewer: Leslie , Dracut, MA Date: May 08, 2008
So far so good! Prompt shipping from Elite! Love the reversible handle & adjustable foot rest. Great canopy & foot muff comes standard! Third child so i've been thru a lot of strollers! Once you get the "hang" of how it steers (have to keep the brake on the wheels closest to your feet!), then it's a cinch! Going over curbs in the reverse position (baby facing you) is a little tough but "do" able. Cup holder isn't so great but not everything can be perfect! Very happy. Would buy it again!

Great Stroller

Reviewer: Anonymous , San Diego, Ca Date: November 21, 2007
I have a 3 month old baby girl and I have been using the stroller since day one. I did have to get the wheels replaced because the one we purchased made noise, but bumble ride sent us a new set right away. We also ordered a new cover so we have 2 complete sets. I also use my Snugride car seat in it all the time and it looks great. People think I purchased them together. My husband is 6'2" and this was the only stroller in the store that he didn't have to slouch over to use.

Love this stroller!

We purchased this stroller 6 months ago for our newborn. It worked great with our carseat (Snugride) and without. We love the option for the child to face either direction! My baby is now 6 months and teething so he loves to chew the padded handle across the front. That is something I would have never thought of but he cries everytime he tries to chew on the hard, plastic tray of our jogging stroller. The padded handle really keeps him busy! The cup holder leaves a little to be desired but I've yet to meet a stroller that doesn't! I would buy this stroller again and again!

BumbleRide Stroller

Reviewer: Scott , Nampa,Idaho Date: March 20, 2007
I purchased a BumbleRide Stroller 2006 and I love the features. Only one complaint I can have is that the strollers wheels vibrate which causes the stroller to have a loud creaking sound. This sound because very annoying in quiet places. I am wondering if something is wrong with the stroller.

Comments from The Staff:

It's possible! If you're still within your 30 day warranty period, please give us a call, and we'll see about getting the damaged stroller back, and getting you a new product. If you're outside your 30 day period - give a call to BumbleRide at 800.530.3930, as the product should be covered under warranty.

Great stroller!

Reviewer: Vladlen , San Francisco, CA Date: March 03, 2007
We bought this stroller online. So far we are happy with it. We use it with infant car seat and just as a stroller for our 3 year old while the infant is in the "sling". We like the reversible handle option a lot. The only negative comment is that underneath cargo carrier is rubbing on the wheels while the stroller is in the facing you position. We had to shorten it a little to remedy this (my wife has sewing machine). Otherwise, great stroller and very light too.
