Could be better

Sun Shield

I previously had a mountain buggy single and now with our second child we decided on the Bob Duallie. The sunshade for the BOB is a lighter color than our previous one was. It seems to allow more sun in and that means the sun gets in the kids eyes more and it may offer less sun protection as well. It makes a difference in Hawaii where the sun is so intense. I am not as pleased with the sun shade as I thought I would be...but I still could not do without it.

Did not find the design easy to use or effective, we will stick with an $8 elasticated mosquito net. With a surgeon and an ergonomist in the family and the product is not intuitive a re-work might be in order. Great stroller BOB, shame about the accessories. Item sent for return.

Sun Shield

This sun shield is easy on/easy off and provides great protection from the sun, bugs and even wind. I bought this somewhat hesitantly, thinking that the canopy on the stroller would probably be enough protection (which it is for shielding the sun from baby's face), but the shield blocks the sun and keeps the temperature in the stroller down and wind out as well. Well worth the few extra dollars spent. Only negative is that I can't seem to get the rear flap to fit properly all the time (maybe this is just operator error, but if it's not easily used/fixed, it's a drawback to me). Shield fits very well around the rest of the stroller. Rolls up and stores easily under or on top of the stroller. Think I will get maximum use of this year-round.

Don't leave home without it!

I use this sunshade every time I take my Bob Ironman stroller out. It comes in very handy to protect from the sun, but also works to keep out bugs and insects as well as providing my daughter with some privacy. She loves to hide under the sun shield when there are lots of people around. She can see out, but feels very protected. When it's not in use, I just roll it up and tuck it in between the sun canopy and the handlebars.

It fits on so easily and is intuitive and quick to install. I'm so happy with it and my daughter seems happy when it's on.
