Our Review of the BOB SUS Duallie

ON SALE for $387.99! Regularly priced at $429.99. Save $42 (10%)

The BOB Sport Utility Duallie is a rugged double jogging stroller from BOB strollers that was made for runners who like to get off the beaten path. The BOB Duallie is essentially two BOB Sport Utility Strollers in one. The BOB Duallie has all the qualities an active parent needs in a durable, trail-friendly double jogging stroller.

The BOB SUS Duallie has top-quality safety and comfort features to assure that your kids will stay secure and cozy while you head out for a few miles on the trails.
Outdoorsy Moms and Dads who are serious about fitness revere the BOB Sport Utility Duallie.

The Only Double Jogging Stroller with Adjustable Tracking

There are a few standout features of the BOB Duallie that make it one of the most sought after double jogging strollers we carry. For starters, the unique adjustable tracking feature (available exclusively with BOB jogging strollers) minimizes drift while you push, eliminating the need to correct your course while you run. With properly adjusted tracking, your Sport Utility Duallie stroller will roll in a straight line without veering at all.

In addition, the Duallie's knobby 16" tires, mag rims and durable aluminum frame, make it the most rugged of all BOB's double strollers. Parents who like to head off-road need not worry about shaking their kid up at all, since the Sport Utility Duallie also comes with a deluxe suspension system that has a full 3" of play. The rear footbrake provides maximum control when the stroller is stopped.

Another distinct feature of the BOB Duallie is its fantastic folding system. Simply pull the red levers and move the handles forward, then grab the lever / carrying handle beneath the seat and lift.

The BOB Duallie has Comfort and Safety Features for Both Precious Passengers

The abundant safety features of BOB Duallie include a 5-point harness, a handbrake for slowing down on inclined areas, and a parking brake. Also, BOB strollers use a unique wrist tether system that attaches to the axle instead of the handlebar. With this tether system, a stumble while running won?t take the Sport Utility Duallie down with you.

The BOB Duallie has great passenger comfort features like a supportive and padded seat with a deeper recline for total relaxation ? and don?t forget about the deluxe suspension system.

To top it all off, the BOB Double Car Seat Adapter makes the BOB Sport Utility Duallie compatible with these popular infant car seats:

Bottom Line: Parents with two kids who want to maintain an active lifestyle cannot go wrong with the BOB Duallie. It's light, rugged, and made to move. What's more, this top-selling double jogging stroller is easy to fold into a compact package and of an unmatched quality. Simply put, its great.

The BOB Sport Utility Duallie and BOB Ironman Duallie are two of the very best double jogging strollers we carry. The differences between the two are largely a matter of personal preference. The SUS is the way to go if you run off-road, while the Ironman Duallie (with thinner road-ready tires) is geared toward running on paved streets or tracks.

Worth the Price

I researched double jogging strollers online, through friends and in Toddler Bargains and ended up choosing the BOB SUS Duallie double stroller. Toddler Bargains made it sound like you can't really run with this stroller (they recommend the IronMan fixed wheel stroller instead), but I decided to go with this one and am SO glad I did. My neighborhood is very hilly and I use the swivel wheel more often than fixed wheel even when I'm jogging - otherwise you can't steer the stroller. I'm also not the runner I was before kids, so this one is perfect for someone only doing short distances. At first my kids (2 and 1) didn't like it - they were used to the Graco DuoGlider that has trays in front of each seat for their sippy cups, but now they think it's fun to sit side by side and go "super fast" in the "new running stroller." My quibbles with this stroller are that it's HEAVY and awkward to transport (doesn't snap together closed like lighter/cheaper strollers, so it's hard to carry into the house). I usually make my husband lug it out to the van if I'm taking it down to the Potomac River for a jog. Also, our house was built in 1941, so it doesn't fit through the front door unless it's collapsed, so I have to drag it down the stairs first, then run back inside to grab the kids. But, it is amazingly smooth and light once it's assembled and you're on your way. SO much easier to push and steer than any other stroller we've ever had. And it's fun to get outside for exercise with my kids. No more excuses now!

Great for Running

Okay I keep my jogger in my garage open so I don't fold it up. You need to get the wind/rain cover too. Worth the money for the extra one. We also got the jogger clock/distance thing. That is awesome! The Bob stays on track and is so light even with 2 kids in it (okay not so light when I am running up large hills...not joggers fault...mommy is getting into shape). There are no cup holders so that is the biggest downside. Of course you need your water bottle. I attached the ones screw on the side. I have a 4 month old son and he fits great in it and I can fold down the seat when he is napping. Basket is a little hard to access but I looked in person at the other joggers and they all have the bar in the middle of the baskets. So you cannot get one that is easy access.

BOB Duallie + active family equals Happier family

Reviewer: John , Ramstein, Germany Date: March 11, 2008
My wife and I bought the BOB Duallie in preparation for twin boys on the way this summer. We already have a one year old daughter at home, and I am training for a another marathon again, so we thought this would be an additional tool to get the family out of the house to spend quality time outdoors now and in the future. The Duallie was boxed well, and arrived only 5 days after I ordered from JoggingStroller.com. We have a military address in Germany, so that shows how efficient JoggingStroller.com is in making sure shipments are prompt. JoggingStroller.com customer service is also the best I have experienced shopping online. The stroller was very easy to put together safely and confidently. For our coming twins, we purchased 2 Snuzzler products to make the fit safer for the newborns until they are about 6-8 months. Our one year old daughter fits perfectly in the stroller. I also recommend buying the sun/bug cover and weather shield, both of which are extremely overpriced. When assembled, the stroller fits easily through all the doors in our German house. It is still large, and if you plan to drive it around and use it, you will need some free space in your vehicle. My wife and I drive a BMW 5 Series station wagon and have a roof cargo container. In the near future with 3 kids in the back seat, and a 85 pound Rhodesian Ridgeback dog taking up the trunk area, even our current roof cargo rack will not be able to hold this stroller. We will either need to move up to a minivan or find a larger roof container. If you have free space available though, this stroller will fit into any normal midsized trunk. Our first few uses were simple 2-3 mile walks off-road. After becoming familiar with the product, I took my daughter on an 18 mile long run which was mostly on rough trails, hilly terrain, and through winds of 15-25 mph. She really enjoyed the ride except for the time where she woke up from her nap and the weather shield was on. Normally I run my long runs at roughly a 7:20-7:50/mile pace, but pushing this stroller with the high winds and hilly terrain brought me down to about 9:15/mile. The run was a great test and showed me what this stroller is capable of, which is a lot. Tree roots, gravel, mud, and potholes are not showstoppers for the BOB Duallie. It was well balanced and easy to control even with my 25 pound daughter on one side and nothing on the other side. The only issue we had was a deflated flat tire on the back right side after the run while the stroller was parked. I used the Bell Slime product to patch the tube, while JoggingStroller.com promptly sent me a new tube. I think the BOB Duallie is one of the best products active parents with 2 or more children can purchase. In combination with a child backpack, it will allow me to take the 3 kids out for a few hours after I return home from work so my wife can get much needed sleep. It will allow us to get out of the house and go on long hikes through the German countryside over rough terrain or smooth surfaces. And it will also allow me to spend more time with the kids during some easier 10K, 1/2 marathon, or marathon training sessions.

Outstanding Service

After spending nearly two months on the phone with Amazon to get this model shipped APO to us in Germany, we gave up after numerous false promises from them. We should have come direct to you guys at the get go! We received it today after placing the order last week. Your sales agent, Marta, was more than helpful, she went the extra mile for my family. Its nice to be supported by folks from the upper midwest as opposed to a call center in the third world that Amazon runs on. I don't think the CMR staff ever saw a more excited and happy dad when the stroller box arrived. Its a big beautiful, rugged machine when I finally got it assembled with the twins already climbing all over it. The fit and finish are outstanding! This thing is built like the Volvo of strollers. Tomorrow we'll take the boys out to PT with their papa, they already get a kick out of riding around the house in it. Yes, it is narrow enough to fit through European doorways. You guys just saved our trip to Paris this weekend, without this stroller, it would have been a nightmare. I am definitely going to spread the word to other military families!

Great stroller for the active Mom

Reviewer: Jenny , Aliso Viejo, CA Date: December 16, 2007
I needed a stroller to accommodate my 2 year old and my newborn. I wanted one with independent sun visors. This stroller fit what I needed. It was relatively easy to assemble. It fold compactly, quickly. I would take it on trips through the airport. I was concerned that the weight difference - 28lbs to 6lbs would cause steering issues, but it did not. It actually handles better than my single jogger. I had to wait for my daughter to put on weight before I could secure her well.

It delivers on every promise!

The Duallie Double is everything the manufacturer promises! Easy to maneuver in all terrains, lightweight, great recline. My adopted "almost twins" (12 months and 17 months)love it, they are delighted by the view and if nap time comes while we are out, the recline is perfect. It is an outstanding walking and jogging stroller. This is not a stroller for the mall or to carry the gazillion bags I usually carry in a non fitness outing. I use it for strolls and jogs around my community exclusively and it stays parked in the garage when not in use. It is large and it takes a lot of space in the trunk of my car and closing it is fairly easy but still a task.

excellent for dirt roads

Reviewer: Nathalie , Weston, VT Date: October 19, 2007
I actually have two bobs a single, then when baby number two came I got the double. I am not a jogger yet, but I live in VT, we have a steep dirt driveway and most roads around us are dirt, rutted etc. I use the strollers all the time, rain (we bought the weather guard) sleet, snow, mud season. I have even used it on the beach and in the woods on rocky pathes with no problem. If your looking for something all terrain this is it! I recommend it to all people who live in the country and need something that can go off road, or on dirt roads. Many friends of mine have other stroller brands that just dont hold up well, the bob canopy is also one of the best on the markets, really covers baby's upper half, that coupled with the screen guard gives great sun protection.

Great stroller....

Reviewer: Anonymous , Honolulu Date: September 24, 2007
We've been VERY happy with this stroller. It's so light and maneuverable, and our boys seem very comfortable in it (9mo and 3 years). It's also a good height for us (we're pretty short parents), though I don't think it would be uncomfortable for taller people. We love the canopies...we actually had no idea they were so big and adjustable, and they've been great for sun as well as rain. It's a fabulous stroller for running, but also okay for regular use since it does fit through most doorways (and has a reasonable amount of storage for a jogging stroller). The only down-thing was that we had our first flat tire in our first month of use (which was surprising as we really hadn't been going over any rough tracks...), and have since had to inflate the tires more often than expected. Oh, and as other people have mentioned, it would be nice to have a catch of some type when you fold it up, but it's really not a big deal. It's actually easier to lift in and out of my trunk even without a catch than my regular tandem double stroller. By the way, joggingstroller.com was fabulous. I live in Hawaii, which means everything has to be ordered (there are hardly any double strollers in the stores here...everyone just orders off the internet and hopes they like what they get!). We ordered on a Tuesday and in an unheard-of fashion, had our stroller by Friday! Wow! And we got the return insurance just in case (also a brilliant idea), though ended up not needing it. We are very satisfied with what we got. Well worth the price!
